If you already have a motor, esc, servo and radio equipment, you could get a kit like the axial Dingo. It's a decent crawler out of the box. Water proofing wasn't a concern for me, so I just picked up cheap sensored brushless motor and esc and it give me great control and tons of torque.

If RTR is what your really looking for then I cant think of any rtr in that price range. Most ones I can think of are going to start out a little bit more than 300. Most of them will also come with a NiMH pack, and lipo's have much better run times.

The used market will be your only bet for a decent base at that cost. I can't say I know what comes across the for sale section here but every once in awhile we will see one on RCCrawler come across for that price range.

The TF2 is not a bad option in your price range. As stated above, if you have any of the electrics already, you are ahead of the game.

like harley said used is your best bet. but if you want new rpp has the rc4wd trail stomper rtr for299.99 and a few more that are a bit over your budget and most orders over 150 come with free ground shipping and they are always running coupon specials where if you spend x amount you get x amount off
