Default motor question

Hey guys, I just got my first crawler project. I got the losi comp, and tryin to put a motor/esc package together. My question is, I have a novak 17.5 ss motor layin around and was wondering if this would be usable? I noticed that the novak goat has a 18.5 motor, so the 17.5 is not much bigger..
Thanks guys

Most guys I know that run brushless run between a 17.5 and a 21.5t motor. Not sure about pinions though. Good luck with your truck!

I'm not sure about using a brushless on a losi . I know they have worm gears and they tend to get hot.

a losi works best on brushless power because the worms suck so much up. the main thing to look at is it needs to be sensored or else it will cog at low speeds. run a small pinion and you should be fine.

Didn't know that, I like how the losi is shaft driven but still has dig in the front or rear.

Ok that's good to know. So do I have to use a crawler speedo? Or will a regular brusless speedo work? I also have a spare mamba max pro layin around.

Default losi

Also throw a castle BEC in there also it will help out also ,especially if you run a high torque servo ,for steering .
