I have a losi comp these are the best for brushless because or the worm drives. you don't need drag break. And much easier on the motors.

Ya I had the Novak Goat 18.5 in mine and worked great. Plenty of tq and speed at the same time. A very reliable system IMO.

Back when I had a transmisson in my comp crawler the last motor/esc setup I ran was novak goat with 18.5. Tons of wheel speed and tq.

I had a goat with an 18.5 running on 3 cell before the 3 cell goat was out. I wasn't all that impressed with that system personally. I switched out to a Tekin RS ESC and a Tekin hand wound 35t and was a lot happier with the performance. I was going to switch out to a 17.5 motor but wound up going MOA in my Losi instead.

I had a brushless set up in my Axial when I had that and wasn't all that impressed with it either. Not enough slow speed response. It seemed to jump when you wanted it to crawl.

In a Losi Comp Crawler, go either way. In anything else, I would save your money and just go brushed. They're cheaper that way anyway.

no, but you could do it relatively inexpensive off auction sites if your crawler is small

I am running the Goat 3S brushless with 18.5t in my Losi Comp Crawler and it works pretty well for me. It runs cool and has never let me down in a comp. It feels very smooth although I haven't tried a brushed setup and I am not sure how this system would work in a different crawler.
