Default 1/12 newbie - Asphalt tires guidelines

Just bought a used sp12m 6 cell.

The old owner just raced carpet, so I have no idea where to start when it comes to run in asphalt (only track near me is asphatl).

Any tips on where to start regarding tires? I have no idea on what the color codes stand for...

Any other setup tips I should be aware of?

Sorry for the noob questions, but the forum is HUGEEEE, and it realy is hard to find the info your looking for...
Thanks in advance for the replies

Purple Fronts and Pink Rears are a good starting point for most things in 1/12. Thats the exact combo I run in 1/12 asphalt.

Default Tires

Hello,

Korey is correct, the combo he gave is the most common. Corally also sells a rear tire called orange that could also be tried. I would stick to one of those two rears. As far as fronts go I would try the purple first, that would most common. If you want more sterring than try the gold or silver tire.

Thanks for the replys...

Since que corally wheels aren't very comon I may have to order the tyres, so it's very helpful to know where to start.

If anybody knows of any tips/trick's or anything particular about the car i should be aware of please post.

Can't wait to get ther car rolling....

I have raced Corallys inside on the carpet for more years than I should admit.

We have a permanent asphalt track, that has not seen much 1/12 scale, but we are trying to build this class.

My questions, is that I found the graphite T-Bar better for rear traction than the fiberglass, that I run inside. Does this make any sence??? What are other running on the pavement.

I have a 12M euro, cells back and are running 19 turn 4 cell.

Thanks for any input.
