When I asked Chad about building a buggy he said it was all mod anyway. Run what you can make stick.

there are no rules for motor size in 8th EP. But MHOR will be a smaller track. I dont think you will need alot of motor of this track...

When the car came out Kody Numedahl recommended the B6D for MHOR. But people are running parts from both kits. Dustin Evans is running the laydown transmission (B6) with ball diffs (B6D). I have a B5M myself so I don't know for sure, but I thought I had heard the B6 comes with both transmission options making it the kit of choice.

Thanks! I was looking at some AE setups and it seems like a lot of B6D pro cars are running a laydown transmission. It looks like the TLR 22 4.0 debut on 3/25 had the laydown option. Just what I need, more options to choose from.

I was poking around on the Associated website. Under the Factory Team Spotlight page, it shows Brent Theilke, Sarah Ann Ernst, and Spencer Rivkin running a 3 gear laydown transmission in a B6D. I presume that this is the laydown conversion not the 4 gear that is on the B6. They also show Kody Numedahl's car (B6D) with the 4 gear laydown.

My original question was more towards the preferred setup for running at MHOR?

I wasn't trying to hijack the tread to discuss merits of transmission configuration. It was a general question which I probably should have stated as:
What cars are working well at MHOR, given the conditions and size?

AE and TLR 10th are dominate. But you can most likely find most major brands at the track. You can call, Chadd would be happy to answer your questions..

When you go to Mhor talk to Dustin he loves to talk about the hobby. Lars is a good one to just sit and talk about the hobby
