Default Cowboy Classic / Region 10 On Road Regionals August 14th-16th

Hey guys,

Race is scheduled to be held August 14th-16th. The 14th is a practice day only. 3 Rounds of qualifying on Saturday. LCQ on Sunday, followed by the mains.

Bobby asked us if we wanted to make this the regional for on-road. We're ok with that, but wondering how many of you 1/8th guys would be interested in coming up? Trying to decide on classes.

We will probably control the tires in touring car. Looking at Jaco Blues most likely.

Currently looks like we're planning on offering
1/10th Electric Sedan: Stock & Modified
1/12th: Stock & Super Stock
1/10th Nitro Sedan
Sportsman
2wd Gearbox Super Stock (Mainly a local class, but allows for any off-road type 2wd vehicle to be run. Tires are open, so foamies and street tires are encouraged.
1/8th Nitro??

Race is held at Wyoming Modelers' Park in Riverton Wyoming. Dedicated track treated with soda. This year we'll have new track retainers that will be much friendlier to the cars. (no more seams!)

Hope some of you will make the trip up. Online signup form should be available in sometime in May.

Cya,
Paul

Default ROARRegional ?

By regional you mean ROAR sanctioned regional race? Which would be nice because we haven't had an Electric Onroad one for 4 or 5 years I think (MHOR 2004 or 2005?).

Yah we mean ROAR Sanctioned Regional Race. We weren't planning on it, until Bobby asked us too.

Excellent track, one of the smoothest I've been too. The banked corners make for some killer speed too! I'm in, had fun last time I was up there.

I'd be up for it as well.

As for 1/8 scale, what is the track size?

Also, any thought on WGT or 235mm pan cars??

WGT or 235MM cars... Neither car is run locally, but I think we'd have enough for WGT .

The Track is probably a bit on the smaller size for 1/8th's. Nitro 1/10ths are in the 14 second lap range if that helps. Track size is 100x60 including the banked oval turns. But boy can u open em up depending on the layout.

Might want to reconsider on the Jaco Blue...they are close to the worst tires on pavement. On the carpet they are steller, but for asphalt I would look at RPs or Sorexs.

I would look into SJ-R new Sorex rubber and inserts mounted by Jaco on the Prism wheel
