why is there such a desire in fort collins to hang on to the dying technology of round cells and brushed motors. whoever is behind keeping them alive needs to stop. there is a reason we no longer use rotary phones or black and white t.v.. things evolve, move on.

With all due respect, it's what I have and it still works so why let it sit on a shelf collecting dust. Can't sell them so run it till it dies. Besides, they are competitive at the track I race at.

When you went from pre 200 version to 200 version what was your FDR change?
What was the change in 12th 13.5?

I am getting into a 13.5 - 1s - 12r5.1
I use a tekin rs for my touring car and I want to get one for the 12r5.1
My questions:
1. What is the best booster to use?
This car will be run on a 40 by 60 carpet most of the time.
2. Does anyone have a tekin set up for those parameters including roll out?

Sorry for such a delay in the response, forgot to post what I have... so, here goes.
Tekin RS Pro running 1s Lipo in my CRC Gen X
Full boost and Turbo running roughly a 2.85 rollout. I run profile 3, deadband at 0 and 50% drag brake.
I have tried both the Novak smartboost and running a rx pack, they both work about the same really. The rx pack will make your servo super fast, but the booster is a little more user friendly as you don't have to remember to charge it.
If you'd like chassis set up, I can post that as well, but since you are running an AE car, it won't really apply.

Here's a great setup for the AE car. I'm running it in my new 12R5.1 and it's hooked up. I've been using Jaco Lilac and Double pinks on the front, so far I like Double pink the best. Magenta in the front, as the setup says, may be a bit to soft but worth trying.
For TC 17.5 rubber I've been using V200; 20 boost, Max turbo, .5 delay, 4.5 FDR with Jaco blue tires.
