i would like to start out by saying thank you to MHOR for allowing a brushless/lipo class for stock buggy and truck.
last night was the third race for the new class, and we had 8 racers make the call. top honnors went to dustin lucas, followed by mike d, and myself.
let's not let wed night club racing die. 2wd buggy is among the cheapest classes to get into, and with lipo and brushless, one of the easiest to run.
hope to see a bunch more guys out making it happen.

Good to hear you got 8 again last night. I started putting together my buggy last night and will make a real effort to get out there next Wednesday. My schedule is clearing up so I should be able to make it.
I'm working on making wed nights a possibility with my schedule. I would also like to try and get this class going on Sat. I went down last Sat and had tons of fun running my B4. Are you guys adding weight if you run Lipo's? For the people that aren't running Lipos, any disadvantage?

I'm going to do the jump to a 13.5 for my cr. I will wait to do lipo later. question is, will 1.23/4200 packs be equal or fall short of lipo?
I would like to do the same thing and was also wondering if my current 4200's would do ok. Cash is a little tight right now so I want to hold off a little longer for a good Lipo.
I have not been able to race for a while now due to work. I have heard the turn out is good on wed. nights for the 13.5 class, but what about sat. nights? I work every wed. night but might be able to make every other sat. night.
SlamMan..
I think MHOR has the short ball studs in stock. If not I have some spares.
I will be there on Wednesday, if you need one see me. I have the RB5 too.
al dente..
I agree, Thanks to Jess at MHOR for allowing the LIPO's
into the off road picture. It is MUCH MUCH simpler and enjoyable to run with a Brushless/Lipo. Just charge and go. No more discharge, equalize, recharge,
or did I just run that one, or is that battery good, bad, or just OK? Or do I need to cut that com or replace the brushes.
Tank Lucas..Gary?
Missed you at Applebees
Congratulations to Dustin Lucas, nice WIN, and thank you for all the tire help.
RC Dan..
Just adding enough weight to make the minimum for buggy, 1499gm

It depends on how old the packs are. In my observation fresh pack of matched 4200 batteries will spank the Lipo. If you take care of the 4200s you won't see much difference until they really start to fall off. I don't think the LiPo performs much better if any. They may be a bit better later in a race as they seem to fall off less. They just perform more consistently for a lot longer time.

i had to add only 42 grams to get my buggy to min weight. that is with the 4800 peak lipo, and novak bl system. old school spektrum reciever.
at the level we all drive on, you could run a mabuchi motor and win if you keept it on it's wheels.
