Hey could someone give me a quick overview of the sc truck spec class? And out of the legal trucks you can run in the class which one seems to work best at mhor?

Thanks....871

Sc Spec class is basically stock out of the box, you must use the stock esc, motor, servo, tires that came with that truck, no interchanging between models. Basically the only thing you can change is the radio/receiver, gearing, shock springs and oil. This also means no hop-up parts allowed either.

All the SC trucks out right now are legal except the Blitz, truck is too fast but they are allowing it to be run with the stock slash motor to compensate for the difference.

I personally think the Blitz is the best right now, I've driven it both in stock form and modified form with a 10.5 brushless. After that I would say the SC10, Strike and Slash. Slash is the most durable.....

Cool, I was hoping they would allow the blitz one way or another. I know the stock blitz has a speed controll w/o reverse lockout. Would it be ok to pick up a sc-10, or slash esc as well as motor so I can lock out reverse? Thanks 871

It's okay to have reverse in the spec class.

I don't think REV is allowed in any class... There should be a profile to lockout rev on the esc.

Chad tells them all the time Not to use it... idk though, I don't bash SC...

Chadd's okay with it in the spec class, people still need to understand they can't back-up into traffic though, but yes every other class it is not allowed.

I think even though it's a spec class, reverse should be disabled

Me too, I hate marshaling them because half the time I go to get them, they back up and sometimes into other people Last time that happened I asked Chadd about it and that is what he said.

Reverse is allowed in Short Course Spec... (The HPI Blitz ESC you CAN'T lock it out)

Short Course Spec Rules....@ MHOR R/C.
6-cell NImH (7.2volt) or 2 cell Lipo (must be in hard case)

You can Change ONLY the following, All others must be what came in the box.
Body, Pinion, Spur, Shock Oil, Shock Springs, Shock Pistions, Radio & Reciever

HPI BLITZ must run Traxxas Slash Motor (Cutting Shaft OK)

how often is mhor running? I looked at their website and it doesnt help out much. I am thinking about a SC10 to bash around with. Ease of working on and more of a just throw and go type of racing.

Race every Wednesday and Saturday like it says on the racing tab. The short coarse class is the biggest class right now, so you won't have a problem with not having a class to race.
