How much would it cost to get a kit like this up and running? Seems like with these kits there are a lot less parts provided that the Associated or CRC Team Kits provide...?

The price of the Darkside car at $250 is about correct. BMI has a good car as well for brushless, and you might look at the CFEX car as well.
