Default Anyone paint Static Models (Tamiaya etc..)? Hiding Brush Strokes

Been working on this model. It's a Tamiya 1/24th scale Enzo. Been having a bit of trouble painting some of the bigger parts. I can't seem to "hide" the brush marks especially on black parts. Anybody know how to remedy this

wet sand with fine grit sandpaper or get some cheese cloth, if the strokes are not too thick.

If you have no access to an airbrush I would recommend using a quality horse hair brush.

Hey Mike!

If you can't spray it, thin your paint WAY down to where it's almost like water, use a good brush as suggested, and go in with several thin coats instead of a thick one, that will do it.

Anybody know where I can snag some of that rubbing compound and wax. Tower says they're discontinued. It seems tower may not be carrying much of Tamiya anymore. A lot of the paints have been backordered, and have been coninuously been pushed back

Acrylic paints are a mixture of water, plastic resin and pigment. When the water evaporates the long-chained plastic molecules link, trapping the pigment producing a very permanent and flexible paint film.

Acrylics should never be over thinned with water. As the water evaporates and doesn't become part of the paint film, over thinning with water produces an unstable and weak paint film. If you wish to dilute the paint it is recommended that you add acrylic medium along with the water so that you will maintain the stability of the paint film.
