Whats you guys favorite brand of tools?

My favorite is Craftsman, but if I had the money it would be Snap-on, how about you guys?

I use Craftsman because its what I can afford and replacements are easy to get. Although if I had money, SnapOn, Matco, and MAC tools would be my choice of tools. The only thing I don't like about Craftsman is there ratchets aren't that great.

Yea, Craftsman is the best when it comes to hand tools, your right about their ratchets, they like to strip the gears.

But if you wanna talk power tools, DeWALT is the brand, my favorite.

I work in construction, so I learn what can stand up to the abuse.

Klein Tools makes some very strong stuff. Their headquarters is very close to where I live in Illinois. In terms of r/c tools, Hudy and Tamiya make excellent tools. As well, Trinity makes some great tools (i.e. Carbon Fiber handled body reamer). In terms of power equipment, I would probably go with Makita. For air compressors, I really like Campbell Hausfeld stuff.

Hand Tools: Craftsman (would be Snap-On...but not enough money)

Corded and cord less tools: Milwakee
Air Tools: Ingalsaw-Rand
Air compressor: Craftsman

I find the craftsman is suitible for me, otherwise...everything else is top notch industry standard stuff

Soon to get: Miller-matic 175 Wire welder

I'm trying to build up my garage so i'm prepared for everything...being in racing kinda gets yah doing that...you never know when you'll have to re-enforce your front bumper LOL...oh did i say that out loud?

I would say,

Hand tools:
Craftsman, that's what I've
got and got no complaints,if
I had the money I'd go
with Snap-on, Mac, or Matco.

Power tools:
There's a bunch to choose
from, Makita, Milwaukee,
Dewalt, Porter Cable,Ryobi
Panasonic, Hitachi, I don't
think you can go wrong with
any of these high end brands
on the lower end I'd say
Craftsman and Black and
Decker are making some
very decent stuff.

RC tools:
I've got Tamiya, Integy, Hudy
and Losi, all great quality.

All purpose:
Dremel and The Craftsman
equivalent are excellent.

Street stock...emphisize the stock part, but still competetive. I'm not exactly making enough money (i think i spend more on tools than racing LOL ) to do the full season yet, so i stick my little neck out there just to brake up the monotony every once in a while.

If your wondering what i got, i got a 82' monte with a 305...not quite a 350, but i still pass people. I'm wanting to get into the modifieds or late models....but i gotta make more money, and a full season first
