I love this thread!! It makes me look so good. I have 9 completed cars, 3 more projects underway, spares for everything, and extra motors, ESC's, recievers. Got rid of two of the four radio's I had.

I think I'm going to let my wife view this thread in hopes of justifing the purchase of a couple more kits. If it works THANK YOU, not the most understanding wife...

I have been good about keeping my vehicle collection small (3 right now) but for each one I hoard parts and spares big time. It's to the point where I have enough spares for each to build a second, or third, or fourth vehicle!

After seeing some of your pics, I feel a lot better. I finally got a group shot of my cars and it doesn't look nearly as bad as some of the other posted pics

I have discovered how to cut back, only buy when you have cash on you!

Now if it wasn't for those damn cash machines.....

Don't know that I would have shown this on the internet - even if there was a big prize involved....lol

I am proud of you for having it, but that would run me nuts!

I think some of these are beyond "disease" I would call it the "hobby plague"

It is all in good fun though. lol I have my "hobby moments" The older I get the more it is replacing my 5 thoughts about sex every second. I just can't get enough of either.

Default All about Tamiya !

Excuse the mess on the work bench, I just got back from the races where some friends told me I just had to post on this thread (hope you are happy now Dave and John). For the record:

47 NIB kits (all Tamiya) (TA01 - current)

80+ NIB body sets (all Tamiya) (Tamiya RM Porsche 956, Toyota Dome and TA01 - current sedan and rally)

35 fully restored shelf queens total (displayed at home and work office) from Tamiya Racing Master Porsche 956 to 415 MSX-MRE with one of Marc Rhienard's race bodies and autographed by him.

7 "ready to run" racers with full electronics.

Way more parts than I can add up for current race cars and to restore Tamiya's back to early '90's TA-01's. And for those that laugh, about 1-1/2 years ago I sold off about 30 kits and 50 body sets for a total of $ 10 grand. Tamiya's by far are the most collectible.

Also, Tamiya people seem to be "all or nothing", i.e. there aren't as many "I have a couple Tamiyas" as there are "it started with a Frog in 1985..."
