as you can see, when the rail (red channel) is pulled forward, it rises slightly.

on the bike you did? whoa! how does the output shaft come out the side and connect to the roller underneath it??

my bike uses a belt to run the roller, his will run it directly.
that is why the sidemount makes a good simple design.

mine is called a "topmount".

They are both called "rail type"... the channel being the rail.
