I shelved Aion and have been playing Borderlands on PC (I just cant play shooters on consoles, I need me a mouse to aim)
Anyways, pretty entertaining game so far. I tired out co-op with a friend of mine and found it clumsy. Single player is great though
Are you Xbox or PS3? I too cannot aim with my thumb. So I got one of these:
Pretty sure you can plug a USB mouse and keyboard straight into an Xbox. Or at least that was one of the arguments that was tried to convince me to buy one. Glad I didn't, that RROD combined with no support for hi def at that point steered me away from it.
A mouse on a console will do little. Mostly because the games are programmed for the delay of the analog, and giving a deadspot as well. In fact, this has backfired on ports to PCs when the developer overlooks this when giving to another company to convert. So the PC people have controls that are sluggish at best. Hence lower sales, with marketing not seeing the reason and using as excuse for less PC game development.
The only way this will be overcomed if the developers sees that the gamers for the game will possibly want to use a mouse instead, and can afford to spend the extra R&D making an alternative input method that can be selected for the mouse player.

I have MUCH fun with my Frag FX on PS3. It's the only reason I still play it. I got completely burned out on the GTA thing, and there really aren't any other titles besides Call of Duty that I'm interested in.
Xbox has always had HD support from release. It was only the fact that it was HD component and a funny socket on the xbox itself. It was when the elite came out they added a standard HDMI aswell. Ive got an 37" HD telly and still use scart component. The 3 cables thing. But thats because mines the arcade with a hard drive stuck on top. Only a 20gb one though. Still looks brilliant on standard def. Probably tv upscaling it. Will wonder down to argos or AN audio at some point and get an HDMI though.
ANyone here think forza 3 is same as forza 2? I dont but loads of my mates think it is. I just want to see what everyone else says.

Not even close. The physics engine is so different it's unbelievable. In Forza 2, if my car broke into a slide, that was pretty much it for the corner speed I had, because with any kind of correction the car just pushed. Now you can make subtle corrections and have the car snap right back instead of continuing to slide.
Thats what i tell em. I think the ability to roll a car at last is a massive difference. Other racers like this seem to mostly have a cap on how far the car can roll. Think theres some that dont though. Been trying manual with clutch. Damaged alot of transmissions so far. And came first quite a few times with it aswell
all on 360, Borderlands mainly, i usually play with 3 of me mates all playing together but still im way way up on them slackers Forza 3 im a massive car game fan and i love it but im a big fan of Test Drive Unlimited mainly for the whole free play part of it oh also WaW multiplay if im aggro from work and need to let off some steam

Yeah for sure. I don't bother with Manual w/clutch unless I'm in the higher speed cars. Low speed it just is one more thing you can mess up on, and at hard AI difficulty, they'll take every chance they can get to exploit those.
Also, for all you MW2 fanboys out there; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnT2CT129_s
Non Infinity Ward footage of S&D gameplay, plus some looks at a couple new features.

Awesome video! The auto pistol kill right in the beginning was the sh!t. That alone is gunna make the game a lot more interesting.
I saw this one gamesstops site today - Modern Warfare 2 Controller. At first I thought it was a mod, but that video seems to rule that out. With no good description, IMO I think you will be able to re-route certain buttons, so your thumb never has to leave the joysticks. Great idea, wonder how hard it would be to get used too.

The controller looks slick, but I wouldn't buy it. 3rd party controllers always fall apart on me.
On a note for Forza 3 people, I'm starting to realize that it doesn't really matter what car you're driving, you're going to have MASSIVE understeer on long sweepers and tight hairpins. I've tried suspension setting changes, tire pressures, different upgrades, none of which seem to cure the problem. I'm finding that the best car for me so far is a NSX with twin-turbo's fully upgraded to R3.
