Huge thank you to all racers for attending IROCC's Summer Speed Weekend 2016! Special mention goes out to Ian B and Dwayne F for travelling all the way from Calgary. And, extra special mention goes to Mark Dawson for making the trip up from Los Angeles! It was great to have you guys part of the event!
I'd also like to shout out to Alex Pate of GripworksRC for his tremendous support of the event. Thanks to Alex, we had both a trackside hobbyshop, and a whole bunch of door prizes. Thank you Alex!
The weather was looking very iffy leading up to the race. In the end, we did see some rain but it cost us only one round of qualifying. We managed to complete three full rounds of qualifying and a full Triple/Double mains program.
The triple A-Mains and the double lower mains gave us lots of heads-up racing and we were treated to many great races! This format should be very exciting this winter in the WCICS series.
Congrats to all the winners and we'll see you next year!

Excellent race weekend!! Blake and the IROCC crew always put on a great program!! Stock touring was very close and super fun to be in the mix up front!! Qualifying into the a main while running 17.5's and 13.5's in the mod class and even finishing 5th in the first mod a main with a 13.5 blinky was fun......just got killed on the straight though😐 next year will be a proper boosted mod car😉

Is it too early to ask if this is happening again this year? Already planning the summer racing.

Hi Mark, and all,
We heard back from the city today and we cannot use the parking lot over the Canada Day long weekend (July 1-2), but they have permitted us to use it on the July 8-9 weekend. So, that makes the decision easy!
July 8-9 2017 it is. This is our normal date for this race anyway.
