IROCC Speed Weekend 2016 Summer Onroad Asphalt Trophy Race - Victoria, July 9-10 2016
#16
Hey Mark,
The pit area is basically track side. It's a temporary type track so there are no permanent pit tables, nor is there AC power. Most people bring an E-Z UP type canopy, 6' folding table, chair, and there are a few generators that are shared around. There are no assigned spaces or anything like that.
If you make the trip, we'll hook you up with tent space, AC, table, and chair.
The location is a two minute walk from several fast-food type restaurants which is nice. We have a porta potty onsite (which will be 1000x more sanitary than at Reedy) or you can use the facilities at the restaurants too.
There are usually a couple people that camp onsite. People generally take their RC stuff home at night, but leave the canopies/tables/chairs/power cables.
I hope that help,
Blake

Another (expensive) hotel option:
If price is not a concern, there is a new Holiday Inn Express that opened up the street from the track, just a five minute walk away.

Are tires going to be limited?
#24
Hey Tiny,
No limit on tires. Previously we've used a two-set limit, but that was when we limited the compound to 32.
For what it's worth, the Team Powers 34 tires (TP-TPG3404) that myself and Alex sell are very good here. Great traction, and they don't wear. This is the tire I will be running for the event in TC Modified, and I'll use two sets of tires max.
If anyone needs some good tires, the Team Powers 34 tires will be available for sale at the event.

IROCC had a good club race yesterday with some good racing all around. Thanks to all those that joined us from Vancouver!
With just over two weeks to go before Speed Weekend, this coming Sunday (June 26th) is the last club race before the event.
Note, if you are looking to save on ferry fees for Speed Weekend, you can walk on the ferry and we will pick you up.
