Default Calgary Mini/Micro Thread

After a fun filled Sunday at the CARCAR track playing with 1/18 cars, I thought it time to get a little more organised.

In the new year we plan on scheduled "mini" Sundays at the track. We run foam/smooth (no spiked) tires on the carpet. We'll be running HPI/XRAY type road cars and the off road cars (Losi, AE, XRAY, etc). If you have one of those cool ABC 1/24th cars or even the Radio Shack X-Mods, bring them out too . If you have a mini/micro and want to play check it out! So far it's just fun running, no computer.

I'll post a schedule and fees as soon as it's figured out. Untill then, please leave you contact info here (or PM/email me if you don't want it public) so we can keep you posted.

just to let evryone know xray has a limited edition m18, kit comes with alot of hopups such as graphite chassis, alum motor mount, heatsink, graphite conversion and servo saver. these hop ups are worth the price of the kit along and are included in the limited edition kit. check your local hobbyshop for them, xray is also working on foams and other cool stuff for these minis, they will be releasing a mini truck rtr version. check out the website for more info www.teamxray.com both of these vehicles will be running in the new year on sundays at carcar. mike will fill you in with more info later, thanx for your effort mike

I had so much fun at the last 2 Sundays this year !!

Hey Colin, if it's racing you need, I will try to keep up with you if you are game, and I'm sure I could persuade a couple of others to pace us !

Not yet!! But if you start racing I'll be tempted. I'd get one now if I'd be here for WoW. Maybe in 2007 it and Regina won't conflict. Mark let me put a few laps on his Mini-T at WoW a couple of years ago. The only damage I did was knock his spoiler off....lots of fun.

The next open track day for MICROS is this Sunday the 8th at the CARCAR carpet track (details in post #1, above). Doors open @ 11:00 AM and we'll run 'till approx 4:30 PM.

A bunch of us will be meeting for breakfast at the Denny's at Barlow & Peigan @ 9:30. Stop by if you want!

Sam and Kelly are working on jumps. The plan is to have more bumps and jumps available to entertain all of us off-roaders. They'll be easily moved so the road cars (or those afraid of some air) can run as well.
