Question, who is collecting the CORCS fees, and where is it being deposited? I would like to know this before I go giving more money for racing and fees. Also, how are we going about certifying who is a member and who isn't?

Gary: I e-mailed all the directors with that very question a few days ago. I am still waiting to hear back. If you guys are reading this please reply. Considering that there is no need for keeper trophies for the CORCS champ(they will be given out by the club hosting the final) It will probrobly be used in BC for keeper trophies for the top three finishers in the BC series and likewise in the AB series. Also we will need two more CORCS trophies (Stadium and 1/8 Sportsman) We will be discussing how best to use the balance to promote the series. Any good ideas out there? Giveaway T-shirts for the final maybe. Also residual funds will be donated to a charity.
Oops missed a question. You will get a membership card when you attend your first race. Note that just because you are a member does not qualify you to compete for the CORCS title. You still have to attend two CORCS events leading up to the final. If you have not attended two races you may still compete at the final, you just won't be competing for the title of CORCS champion.

You must have attended 2 races to vote on any rule changes. And you have to run in I believe 2 of the 3 races for your points to count for your Provincial CORCS Champion.
Didn't see anything in the rules stating what you have implied in your above post Rob....Your points that you get provincially don't count for the Final.
If I paid my $5 to join CORCS why wouldn't I be able to show up at the Final to compete for any of the Titles.
I'm pretty sure this was talked about earlier in this forum.
Later

Well I think there needs to be a directors meeting to discuss this matter of where this extra fee is going, I would like to see it go to the permanent 1/8th Staduim trophy cost.
Also race directors keep an eye on this new class. I just came from a race in Wenatchee and this new class has made for longer days with more entries and that means running a tighter ship when it comes to time constraints.
Maybe I missed some discussion earlier in this forum but I definitely remember deciding at a directors meeting that you had to participate in the series to win the title. You cant just show up at the final, pay your five bucks and become corcs champ by winning the one race. My apologies if I am wrong but I don't think I am. I will get together with the other directors and clear up this important issue.
Also on the time issue Inferno brought up. I did and approx time analysis for our race and with the two new gas classes and 45 min. mains we are looking at over nine hours just to run the mains with no qualifiers. I based this on three heats of 1/8, two heats of monster truck and truggy and one heat of everything else. It doesn't look good for Sunday qualifying. I am thinking 30 minute mains.
Saturday Qualifiers
1/8 three heats, 5 min ea. 5 min warm up 30 min.
Stadium Truck, Two heats 20 min.
Monster Truck Two heats 20 min.
Gas truck 10 min
1/8 sportsman 10 min
E classes, four at 5 min. 20 min
Breaks between classes 13 at 5 min. 65 min
Delays 20 min.
Total 195 min
Times three rounds 585 min
Lunch 30 min
Saturday total 615 min 10 hours
MAINS
Five A’s at 45 min. 225 min
Three B’s at 20 min 60 min
One C at ten min 10 min
Electric three triple A 5 min. mains 45 min
Novice 5 min
Nine 5 min. warm-ups 45 min
Nineteen 5 min. breaks between heats 95 min.
Lunch break 30 min
Trophy presentation 30 min
