The Castlegar Model Racers Club will be hosting our annual trophy race on the 5th 6th and 7th of September.

Classes that will be run are:
-Novice
-2wd Buggy
-2wd Truck
-2wd Sct
-4wd Buggy
-4wd Sct
-1/8th E-Buggy and E-Truggy (unless we get enough pre-entries for a truggy class).

Friday - Practice and registration from 12:00pm till dusk.
Saturday - 7:00am till 9:00am track open and registration. Drivers meeting at 9:10am first round starts at 9:30am. There will be 4 rounds of qualifying with heads up starts. No last chance qualifier on Sunday. We are going straight to the mains.
Sunday - 7:00am till 8:30am track open. Drivers meeting at 8:40am first main starts at 9:00am. There will be single A-mains with 2 bump spots.

Pre-Registration Fees:
First Class - $20.00
Second Class - $10.00
Third Class and more - $10.00 for each additional class
Novice Class- $10.00

After Pre-Reg. Fees:
First Class - $25.00
Second Class - $15.00
Third Class and more - $10.00 for each additional class
Novice Class - $10.00

Pre registrations will determine the number of trophies per class. Cutoff date will be August 15th. Please use this thread to pre register.

There will be a designated pit area with power. (Bring extension cords, tables, and chairs to sit in).
We also have a fully covered drivers stand for protection from the elements.

The local Sandman is hooking us up with some corporate rates at there hotel. Just use corp# 226981 when making reservations.

For those of you wondering what kind of tires to use. Pretty much any tire works. but harder compound rubber definitely works best when it's hot and dry. If it's slightly damp or not so hot out softer rubber works better. Proline and a few other companies make carpet specific tires and they work awesome, but are slightly edgy. Hope this info helps get rid of the tire confusion and will let you racers focus more on racing.

Been doing some track redesigning with Booey, and I must say it Is starting to look like a supercross track. Going to make for some interesting racing and some fast lap times.

Just a ill update here. Me and Mark started to lay down some rug today. It's looking really smooth. We have a straight stretch that's over 120 feet now all carpet. :tire. Well looking forward to racing it up and don't forget to pre register if you know your coming.

Hey Merse glad to hear you going to try make it out for this one. Its going to be a great time!!! Well we are finally finished with laying out the new track and Its looking pretty wicked. Going to give it a practice run tomorrow and see how the cars do on it. Enjoy the pictures of the new 454 Off-Road RC Raceway!

Well that's awesome to see the prcc gang is coming back this year for more racing fun! .

Also just an update on entries. We haven't got all the info on what classes people are racing yet. But I know there is 40+ entries so far for this race.

If your on the fence about coming out to try the carpet. Jump off that fence and get your butts out here!!
