FWIW, If timing is added, the ESC no longer blinks.

so we do race with a NON ROAR ESC? for some reason allways thought it was on roar list
may be wcics would allow this esc to be used in binky class's since it has a timing led? and keep the cost down for some guys

I asked Orca this question in 2011 when they had their suspension with ROAR and everything was pulled.
I was told they would submit the Q Spark for approval after the suspension, but I don't think it ever was on the approved list.

Hobby wing esc's are a good cheap alternative.

Default Transponders

What do I need for a transponder? There are apparently 2 kinds of my laps pts. There is the standard and hybrid. Is it necessary to get the hybrid or is the standard rc4 good at most clubs?

Is there a spec tire for F1? I'm going to make a few races this season and want to make sure I run what will be ran there.

F1 is Open F1 Rubber. However, no F103 size tires allowed. If racing a 200mm wide car you must use standard F104 size tires

I believe all the clubs have updated their decoders and RC Scoring Pro software, so all AMB transponsers (old, hybrid, and new RC4's) work now. It was only an issue at the first one or two races last season, then we got it sorted and it was good for the rest of the season.

Season opens in 48 hours in Saskatoon!!!

Sooooooo bummed I can't be there, but US family visits come first. Next time hopefully my Mom calls before she books her flights!

Sweet... It's going to be a great event... one of the other mom's volunteered to do the concession; she's talking breakfast wraps, scones, cinnamon buns... the works... plus we have the facility for the entire weekend, so there's no time restrictions for opening / closing... we can stay late to practice while eating great food...

Anyone else excited for the WCICS season to start and some great racing again this season!?

I'm no F1 expert. But Pit Shimizu!

Or do they have to be Tamiya ?
