Indoor Offroad Carpet Race
Hi, this is Gord Tessmann from down in Medicine Hat. We've been having a blast with our indoor offroad 1/10 scale buggy racing and our club is just wondering if anyone is interested in having a two-day race. We were thinking about doing it March 1st and 2nd, or March 8th and 9th. We would put in a new layout, have practice Friday evening and Saturday morning, start qualifying at noon. We would only run one class which would be 1/10 scale electric open. 2wd buggy is the most popular and the most fun for the size of our track, but we've also ran truck and 4wd 1/10 scale. There is really no advantage, so you could run anything 1/10 scale. Because we would only run one class, we could have lots of qualifiers and triple A's for all mains.

I need some buggy and some truck tires and Chase and I may be in. What motors? I only ask because my slowest unused motor at the moment is a 9.5 I believe.

Yes his nats car will be there
You need to get something I would say
If we get a good response we might try to get a spec tire for 2wd
as far as motors it doesnt really matter we ran as fast as 5.5 and its just harder to drive not faster around the track
There are some cheap losi 22 and b4.1 out there
We are going to post some video next week

Hey guys.
If you are thinking of getting some 1/10 scale gear for the race in Medicine Hat, don't hesitate, as there "may" be some opportunity in Calgary this winter to run it in Calgary.

I'd also be interested, with the possibility of some tag-alongs. Assuming that there would be a race (or two) for beginner to novice racers? My next door neighbours' kids are RC fanatics, but have never actually raced in a 'timed' event. Not expecting them to break any records or win trophies - just don't want them to get annihilated or get in the way of other racers.
Also - I'm assuming AMB transponders are a must?
