Hey Jesse,

Will do. Yeah you should definitely come over for a club race between now and then. Stock is getting scary competitive over here now - it's really exciting as every second counts now. A lot of drivers have stepped it up big time so far this summer.

Hey Dave,

Downtown Victoria has tons of hotels that are about a 10 minute drive from the track. I will track down a couple that are a little closer though (hopefully right in Colwood). I'll get back to you shortly.

Hi Blake, If we decide to go there for a club race, would the 10 guys you mentioned be able to run mod with us?

Hey rcspeedo,

Yep, for sure. We were already planning on adding a modified class to our schedule for the couple of club races leading up to the Speed Weekend race. The idea was to get in a little modified practice before the big race.

So, if you, Jesse, and the gang decide to come over for a club race then let me know and I'll add modified to the schedule on that day. It'd be best if you could give me a little advance notice so that I can make the announcement to our club and we can dig out and prepare our modified motors.

Hey guys,

Sorry for the slow response on those PMs. Sometimes I don't actually login fully.

Hehe, I'll pretend I didn't read that rcspeedo. Seriously though, I am actually looking forward to some modified racing at the Speed Weekend.

Friday Practice
We talked to the city this week and they are doubtful that we can have the parking lot on Friday morning and afternoon (it is completely full of cars on weekdays). The final word will come from a city official who is in the hospital until next week. So, I would assume for now that the Friday practice will be an evening thing only. The IROCC crew will likely construct the track around 6PM on Friday evening (when the parking lot finally empties). This takes about an hour which will give us from 7PM to 9:30PM or so (when it gets dark) for practice. The track will be open for practice between 8AM and 11AM on Saturday morning.

Hotels
I've done some looking around here and the following hotel is probably your best bet. It's quite close to the track (5 minute drive) and has the cheapest rate I could find. Book your rooms via the internet so that you can get the cheap "internet rate".

Comfort Inn Victoria
101 Island Hwy
Victoria, BC
V9B 1E8
Phone: (250)388-7861
Fax: (250)388-7862

Free Accommodation
A reminder that we're offering free billet accommodation through our members with larger houses. Please enquire if you're interested in this option.

I'm all set for this race.

I'm just wondering if I should enter my old Tamiya TA02, or not
