Oh and by the way...the track is awesome. Huge learning curve for all the racers this year. The HUGE triple doubles will take their toll on a lot of vehicles!! The massive quad will need lots of speed to clear or really good timing. The moguls will test your suspension setup. This will be a great track to run. The first race is May 7th. Please get your membership at Wonderland soon!! Remember, only 6 of the 10 races need to count for you to qualify for the points & the prizes at the end of the series.
W00t! First broken part on the new track! Front A-arm on my T4. :P Did an intense lawn dart into the 2nd jump on the 2nd set of doubles. The track is super loose and we will need to rake the heck out of it before saturday (thats the 6th Gregg, just to clear up any possible confusion!) so we can get some grip. I cant wait to get my 8th scale out on it, should be very fun.
Huge props to everyone who helped to build the track! Awsome work!!! It is a really wicked layout, and its really hard too.
When I was in Edmonton I wasnt able to do any racing! The carpet racing season was over, and of course my orginal plan was foiled earlier, so that sucked, but I picked up some Losi step pins.
Brad, check your calendar. The first Saturday in May is the 7th.
I thought I got away from my first try at the new track unscathed with my new MT2 18SS. After I got home I discovered that I bent a shock shaft, and took out a bevel gear (on the same side as the shaft) in my rear diff. I went out of control coming into the second double and nailed one leg of the metal driver's stand...
Yes, the new layout is going to require some practice. It's pretty challenging compared to the old track. Pretty much everyone who came out to practice Saturday evening after we were done building the track broke something.
1. Don - front steering knuckle. (nailed the fence)
2. Gary - Fuel tank. (landed on roof)
3. Gregg - Shock shaft & bevel gear. (nailed driver's stand)
4. Rob - Ball cup. (after landing a big jump)
I have a feeling that this is going to be an expensive track to run on

Hey guys. Just to let you all know, I have been ordering parts from Hong Kong! There's no duty from Hong Kong, and the shipping costs are cheap!
For example, I just received a sheet of 12 OS #8 plugs. Paid a total of $63.00 CDN for them, including shipping. That's $5.31 per plug. Hobby Wholesale in Edmonton is $9.00 per plug. They're even more money locally here in GP.
Buying complete RC kits don't appear to be any cheaper, and our local prices on parts at Wonderland are very good, but there are a few items where if you don't mind waiting a week or so for them to arrive, you can save some money.
I ordered the plugs from "www.rcmart.com"
Another interesting site is "www.asiatees.com". Not sure if the prices on the aluminum accessories are cheaper than buying in Canada, but you guys can take a look anyways.

Cool website Gregg. I am going to be renting a vibrater plate again to smooth down the big chunks of dirt on the track. I need to know who can be there to use it as I will be busy. Any volunteers? Tell me what day and I will rent it.
