Default WCICS Round 4 - Victoria, IROCC/NRC Speed Weekend CE, Jan 4-6 2013

IROCC and NRC are pleased to announce Round #4 of the WCICS: Speed Weekend Carpet Edition 2013

After a fantastic event last January, both Island clubs are very excited to be part of the WCICS series again this year. We are very fortunate to have two well organized clubs working together to create a professional event that everyone should enjoy. Last year's event drew close to 200 entries and we overflowed the pit area. This year we have secured an adjacent room (wired with video/sound/projector) for additional pitting based on projected attendance numbers.

Most guys shoot for 80mm for 17.5 boost.

There isn't as much consensus regarding 10.5, but I believe somewhere close to 50mm gets you in the ballpark.

Boost parameters of course depend on your ESC. We're predominately Tekin, but there's been some interest in Orca of late.

Tom means 80mm rollout for boosted not blinky. We could give you info for timing, etc. if you run Tekin. What kind of ESC are you running?

Hi Garrett,

This is the link to last year's race. This link has a Tekin setup from Peter Robinson that worked very well. Brian Bodine has some info listed a little lower down on that same page:
http://www.rctech.net/forum/canadian...2012-a-10.html

This is what I used to run with Tekin for both 17.5 Boost and 10.5 Boost
Rollout = 79mm for 17.5, 50mm for 10.5
Boost = 50
RPM: 2500-7500
Turbo = 10
Delay = 0.4
Ramp = 2

I've been running a VX1 lately and have it setup similarly to the Tekin and it pretty much mirrors the Tekin on the track. These are the rough settings:
Timing Start = 35%
Timing = 30
Timing Interval = Normal
Delay = 0.05
Turbo Timing = 50
Turbo Interval = Normal
PWM = 2K

With the VX1 I have been using a Duo3.5 motor with the endbell timing actually set at negative 10.

I hope that helps,
Blake
