21.5 for vta, silvercan for touring gt.

lets try not to do "vta wants to run our own class" like last year, it was embarassing.

Since the Big Chill is a no go are we still going to be locked in to using the Jaco brand tire or will we be able to use any 32 rated tire .
I would like to suggest that as long as the tire is marked as a 32 there we are allowed use it.
What do the directors think ?
Also found this on RCPITSTOP.

I looked at the Heritage Park Barn event calendar about a month ago to see when the Chill was going to be. The train show IS still happening.

Be careful what you wish for... "Any 32" is to loose of a statement, JACO's and Sweep Blues are closer to a 40 FYI and designed for carpet... if you start to mix in "any 32" you are going to kill TC racing again... Here comes the SOREX two run tires when someone wants to PAY to WIN..

What rules works for outside, do not inside!

Me, I'll be drifting at the barn. I can ask a committee member from one10 this weekend if you'd like.

For touring spec 17.5 can I still use a silver can motor? What FDR should my car be set to? With the stock spur and pinion its 6.4 so I think it might be a little too slow.

I'm planning on racing touring car this season and need a couple tips. For 17.5, what final gear ratio do you guys use? Also, what traction compound do most people use? Are only low odor stuff allowed?

3.8-4.2 depending on your driving, drivetrain, and motor.

as far as I know, any odorless TC is allowed.

You can if you want, it will be dog slow, and need constant maintenance compared to a 17.5 I have a duo3 you can buy off me if you are looking for a cheapy.

I think my touring gt was geared around 5.7FDR with silvercan.
