(RRR) Ready to Run Raceway On Road Summer 2012
RRR is proud to bring another year of fun racing to the lower mainland.
We are located at the BCIT Aerospace Technology Center in Richmond BC. This is where we held our Annual Summer Challenge last year which was a great success.
Our goal is to get started the first week of May and run every weekend that the Sun is out.
Please note that there will be certain weekends where we will be traveling to Victoria to join IROCC for their Trophy Race, as well as heading down to Timezone GP in Washington. Keep checking this thread as we will post updates frequently. Also, we will have the Fourth Annual RRR Summer Challenge Trophy Race in August to look forward to.
As mentioned last year, we are very excited for all of the racers as the surface is the best the group has ever been able to secure which will be able to support many different classes due to the smoother surface.
As the poster mentions, we are open for all to come and run. Don't be shy!
Address:
3800 Cessna Drive
Richmond, BC
V7B 0A1
Click on MAP below to view in Google Maps
Directions:
Where the two red lines are, there will be a gate, closed for much of the season. The single red line is where most GPS and google will guide you.
The best way is to enter the lot from heading North on Russ Baker way, and it will be your first right after Gilbert Rd. If you are heading South on Russ Baker way, the best way to turn around is to continue South past Gilbert, and U-Turn in the McDonalds.
Facilities:
Please bring your own table and chairs, and power for yourself, or share with a friend!
We suggest a few people share one generator, or if you bring a spare car battery you should be fine as well(for the electric racers).
Washrooms are located at the McDonalds at Gilmore. To continue keeping our costs low we do not rent Portable Washrooms until the Annual Summer Challenge trophy race.
Thanks for checking us out and we hope to race with you soon!

Are we starting the first practice on May 6th? I want to run electric mod for practice too

Electric Touring Mod and 1/8 Nitro .21 will be test classes for SAFE and experienced drivers only.
Also, VTA / ScaleSpec class will run if there are enough entries.
Yes May 6th is the planned Season Opener.

Lot is Clean!
I blew off the lot today. Its looking really clean. I bet the street sweeper cleaned it up lately, as the lot was not very dirty at all.
We are all ready for next week! We are finally going outside to play. WOW

Lot
Just to clarify. We will be running on the last parking lot (closest to the water ). This is the smoothest lot out of the bunch.
So far the long term forecast looks good for Sunday.
Time to get your cars ready for the first Test and Tune!
Boy, I still have some work to do!!!
We are catering to New Drivers. We have a lot of core Nitro Drivers. However, We also have Electric drivers. All are welcome. We will alternate between Nitro and Electric All day. Once drivers are comfortable on the track, we will start doing some fun races.
I want to see a whole pack of Mini's flying around the track this year.

Its been a great year at overgeared . It was my first year of on road electric and had alot of fun learning the car and what works . I am hooked on the class for sure .
I can't wait to get outside and try the car for a season of asphalt to see what the car is capable of outdoors .
I see that John has posted some tires that should work on the rcpitstop website .He is our local onroad guru and is a very good driver .I will be striving to see how close I get to his lap times .
Every week we will be keeping everyone up to date regarding the weather and if we do need to cancel everyone will be informed here on the groups thread .
But Just to let you know it could be raining everywhere else in the lower mainland but it will be dry and ready to go where we are here at the location so don't look at the weather where you are and decide that it will rain . I guarantee that you will miss a weekend of fun in the sun . It doesn't matter what type of onroad car you run come on out and give it a try
