Confused....
OK, can I ask for clarification, please ? I understand that "Stock", "ProStock" and "Superstock" require the Jaco Blues as a spec tire. But Giuseppe's comment reads "for TC classes", which would include the proposed "Mod" class.
Are foam tires OK in MOD only, or are they not ?

I m pretty sure what he meant was SPEC tire for all rubber TC classes . IE Stock Rubber , SS rubber, MOD rubber.
the open touring class will be just that OPEN tires and OPEN speedo.
What we call pro stock will be combined with regular stock as it was last year . cars will be grouped as they qualify , ( possibly after one round instead of 2)

The SS/Mod/Open class is somewhat in the air.
Entries to date
SS - 1 (myself)
Mod "Rubber" - 5 (with potentially myself instead of SS so 6)
Mod Foam - 3
At this point it would appear that SS will roll over into Mod Rubber, and should 2 more Foam cars appear, Mod Foam will run as a separate class.
So TC Classes that would follow the Spec Tire would be as follows.
TC Stock
TC Super Stock
TC Mod

I wanna bring TC mod back! If there is no TC mod I really doubt i'll be there. I don't wanna spend all weekend racing just the one class. Nothing against anyone, I just really hope we can get enough to make this mod class work! You don't have to run on foam to run in mod. It's just open to what ever TC tire you want....

mix all the "mod" cars together. in my opinion the cars are close foam to rubber. i believe that this last weekends main was maybe a lap apart?

Reg. Cost
Quickly skimmed through to see if the reg. fee amounts were mentioned... didn't see it or I missed it ... Could some one clarrify the amounts please so that I can include it in a club email...
Thanks!

I would like to potentially see a SS and mod rubber class. However, if SS merges into mod that is okay.
Unfortunately, i just don't see it as a good idea merging mod foam cars with the rubber cars for a bigger event. Firstly, this has been happening within our regular club races only because no one has really expressed a concern or complaint about it and none of the regular ss racers seem to really take it too seriously. With that said, all it will take is one individual who does not feel the same way and you will have opened up a rather large issue to deal with come the race weekend. This might seem like a minor issue now, but we have all been at a race where what seemed like a minor issue got blow out of proportion and then the race runs the risk of developing a distasteful reputation.
Secondly, all it will take is one really fast driver to decide they want to bring out a foam car and suddenly that one lap differential we regularly see at club races would be a lot more and some may see it as unfair. This is irregardless of whether or not anyone else was going to be able to beat that driver had they of been running rubber tires instead of foam. Putting driver skill levels aside, running a car with foam tires as opposed to rubber tires is an advantage.
Also, I have heard the argument that it would not make a difference on what tire some drivers run, it would not improve their qualifying/ finishing positions over the weekend because they are not as quick of a driver. One can make this argument, but where do you draw the line and who gets to make the decision about those drivers in question.
All this aside, i really enjoyed running foam for the last few years, but at the moment rubber seems to have taken over. This may just be a phase whereby we see foam coming back in a few years and only time will tell. I hate to seem like i am coming down on the people wanting to run foam, but it is probably better to sort this out before the Mid Winter.
