Hi all, i live in Australia...... Im heading to Canada in jan and will be based around vernon looking to see if there is any hobby shops around the area that do short course stuff and on road 1/10th scale stuff any help would be appericated cheers aaron

Vernon is right in the middle of Kamloops & Kelowna each of which has on-road and off-road programs. Check out the R.O.C.K. club thread & the Thompson Valley RC'ers club thread

There a local hobby shop in Penticton... just south of Vernon. It's called ATD Hobbies and their # is 250-486-3657... website is http://www.autotrimcustoms.ca/ATD-Hobbies.page.. they support a local club here called the Penticton Radio Control Club (PRCC)... they race a full season of on-road on a biweekly basis and their website is www.pentictonrc.ca.. they also have plans for an off-road track which is being worked out with the City of Penticton... it's a great group of people with over 40 active members with an awsome atmosphere... Also if your into flying there is a club in Penticton that does that as well... they fly every Sat evening and their website is www.penmac.org... Hope this helps

Ya Kamloops is about 1hr north of Vernon and it has the best tracks in western canada and there shop is called Interior RC. Kelowna is about 35mins south of Vernon there shop is called Kelowna Speedway & Hobby www.kelownaspeedway.com they do on-road in the winter and off-road in the summer there club website is www.radio-controlled-cars-canada.com for all there race date's

there is one 2 in vernon there is vernon hobby center and lesters hobbies but for what you are looking for lester is the best place that is where I deal all the time
