Default What engine would you recommend?

OK I know that's a dangerous question, but new to buggy racing & need to buy an engine. What works good in Alberta? Going to club race & go into the Rc pro series. I used to race my Revo with TRX 3.3. Now have a jammin with a jp-4 pipe. Not really a noob just looking for good all round engine, you know good run times, easy to tune, best bang for the buck. So what's been working for you guy's? Been checking other sites but want to see what's really working in Canada & not on the big U.S tracks.

Talking

Go through the link or PM Svengali and take your pick of Clockworks engines. For that matter you could send your engine to Clockworks to get clocked. Anything this guy builds is going to be competitive and the price's are reasonable. Talking directly to these guys will help narrow down your search without all the BS.

p.s. if you purchase through svengali all profits go towards the Edmonton club RCRE.
p.p.s. the guy who builds these is out of Manitoba.

For the best value I would go with a OFNA JL-21. The motor is well under $200 and will mate perfectly with your JP-4. It also uses OS P3 plugs which is nice for those of us that run speeds too.

Im using the JL21 in my truggy with the JP4. Also like my V spec and my works b3. Lots of choices out there. You should be able to find a good motor in any price range really.

If you are planning on running any of the Clocked motors in your revo. I think you may want to re-think that. They will chew up the drive train no problem.

Default Engines

Not sure that you are ready for a modded motor Dyno. Give me a call and we can look at what you might want to start out with in an affordable price range.

Hey rayzer that's the same thing my wife said only not as kind. Something like you'r an idiot that can't drive. I don't know was'nt listening lol. I'm getting as much info & $$ to start comparing. Want to get something that I can grow into but still not leave me short in the long run. I will be talking to you to get your insight as well. I am hoping to get an engine that will last awhile. But your right a mod might be to much for me, should concentrate on getting around the track clean first.

i would go with a clocked jl .21....from what i have witnessed clockworks engines have ALOT of jam...however you also take into account the smooth operation of power and the increase in fuel economy...power is still managable...and who doesnt like to save fuel??? clockworks is the way to go im sure theres an engine just for you
