Entry fees:

Touring Superstock (Rubber) and Touring Stock will be run using a spec tire this year. That tire will be the Jaco Blue. These tires will be included in the price of the entry fee for that particular class. Only one set maximum per class, per driver will be allowed and they will be marked and teched during the event. You must purchase these tires at the time of registration and cannot bring in your own tires. No exceptions. If you are running 2 rubber classes and choose to only purchase one set of tires and use that one set of tires, that is fine but once you leave registration, you cannot go back and purchase a second set. The entry fees for these particular Rubber Classes will be $65.00, which of course includes one set of tires.

First Class $35
Second Class $15
Third Class $10
Novice Class $25

Racers from Vancouver Island will pay a flat rate entry fee of $35.00, $65.00 if they run in one of the Rubber Spec Classes. If they choose to race more than one class, the cost of the entry fees for these classes will be waived. This does not include the price of rubber tires if these second and third classes happen to be Rubber Spec Classes. This is to help with the high costs of the ferry.

Hotel/Motel info comming soon. Campus Suites are available for $125 per night. They sleep 4 per room and are only 3 minutes from trackside. Special prices are being arranged for rooms at the Travel Lodge, only 6 minutes from the track. Please start to pre-register for this event via this thread or by email at: bwende@shaw.ca

So if running 2 rubber classes will 2 sets of tires need to be purchased? If so will they be class specific?

Smile Rubber Tires...

Hey Gord and any others....

A clarification has been made on the rubber tire use. You can purchase only one set of rubber tires and use them in both classes. See orginal posting for full details.

Default Entry fee

Ok so 2 options if you are planning on running 2 Rubber tire classes.

1. run both classes with 1 set of tires. Fees would be f$35 first class, plus $15 second class. plus approx $30 for the purchase of 1 set of spec tires. So $80 for the 2 rubber tire classes and 1 set of tires.

2. Run both classes and have a set for each class. Fees would be $35 first class, plus $15 second class, plus 2x $30 for 2sets of Spec tires (each marked accordingly for each class). So $110 total for 2 rubber tire classes and 2 sets of spec tires.

If you are running a third class, then just add another $10

Think that should sum it up nicely.

Nice to see the same tire rules are being used as the Alberta WICCS series.

This will make it much easier for our friends from Alberta and Sask to come race with us in BC. Not to mention if any BC drivers attend the series in Alberta they will already be up to speed with the rules.

For the past two years, these rules have been used with nothing but success. It has created an equal playing field and has produced the closest racing I have ever seen in Western Canada.

I am so looking forward to this race

Does the Novice class have to be RTR? Even for an 8 year old?

Default Novice

Clint,

We just don't want to see people giving a newbie a fully decked out mod TC or something. The RTR status only relates to the motor being used, not the rest of the gear.

To clarify, a "stock" (27t/17.5) or RTR motor are allowed, or slower. Other than that, any car type and other equipment is ok. Other than that, the only real requirement is "first" year racing, or under say 5ft tall.

Hope this helps clear it up.
