This is exactly what we needed for onroad in GP, a strong club behind it. Thanks to everyone who is getting the ball rolling on this. I'm stoked even though I will have very little time to race now that I had to send Arlene back to work, more Daddy duty for me.

Just finished painting my Lotus body to get ready for this. Can't wait to put some race marks on the side of it!!

With any luck we can make Grande Prairie a destination for WCICS in the future.

Went down to the new facility today and it is HUGE. It is exactly 3 times as large as the space we had last year! At this point we are either going to build an off-road track and an on-road track and have them separate, because there is enough space, or we could have one massive track (think about 90+x40').

Also, I was thinking that we might be able to get a hold of some of those plow disks like what Edmonton was using at their outdoor track to use indoors here. Anybody know any farmers? These disks would seriously reduce breakage!

I really can't wait to get started racing! It's been so long since the last off-road race and this new place just looks awesome! We've got so much pit space and the lighting is great. We're going to be able to have some really great racing this winter.

Oh yeah, look what I've got on order.

So realistic, the thing looks amazing! It's not all that expensive either (that retail price listed there isn't what it will really sell for btw).

So, who is coming to Edmonton for WCICS? Rod you still going?

So what do you think the classes are going to be for the onroad division this year??? I was thinking about touring car but last time i was in edmonton me and my dad stopped at a club race there and seen the works there. The touring cars seemed ok, but the 12 scale pan cars just ripped up the track!!!! They didnt have very big lanes so they were only running stock touring which is with 27 turn brushed or 17.5 brushless which is rather slow compared to the pan cars i guess. IDK let me know whats going on so i can pick one up b4 the season starts!!!

Thumbs up

So is this our final home (Thread) or what Na I'm cool with it makes more sense anyway since most of us use to be affiliated with both clubs in some way or another, with that said, Cheers to the new venue and new season

Yeah this is the final thread. Should be around for a long time. The GPMRA is a very stable club.

Viper- Looks like we are going to be running Super Stock Touring (13.5 turn) and GT (silver can motor and any chassis). The pan cars are really cool, and they are cheap to run, but at this point no one in Grande Prairie owns one. It's better to race in a class you don't like as much with more people than to run in a class you like more with less people. Our touring class will be a bit quicker than what Edmonton is running too.
