For cheap go Hotbodies. For a little bit more but worth every penny get the Xray! In fact give me $150 for my Hotbodies and all my spare parts and upgrades and I'll buy an Xray!

4.Associated TC5R (easy to get parts for, decent quality, good value)

7.Xray T3 (too much money to be higher up)
8.Tamiya TRF416X (too much money to be higher up)
9.HPI Sprint 2 RTR (cheap, but low performance)
10.Tamiya TT01E (really cheap, and really low performance)

Has anyone heard anything bad about the TC5R's??? I think I'll go with that for a touring car if i get one (hopefully!!!)

Randy why don't you just stick with HPI and hotbodies and get a cyclone! Might as well stay with one brand! Its easier to shop for parts sometimes.

Well the TC5's seem to be really durable as i had run one for a little while and Darren run his all summer and really never broke much. (and he hits the walll alot )

The only problem with the Cyclone is that it is really hard to get parts for. The 2 big R/C suppliers hardly stock any of the Cyclone stuff, and very few shops stock parts. If what Greg says about Hobby Room stocking parts is true then you could probably get out of a bind if you need a part right away. If you order parts ahead of time you can do fine for parts, but it can take a while to get those parts. The Cyclone S is actually a really good car, especially for the price. The chassis layout and design works well, and the handling is quite good. Plus, if we use corner dots you certainly won't end up breaking too much on this car or another car anyway.

trike- I wasn't really looking at durability or price so much in that list. Performance was the first consideration. If that list was geared more towards people newer to the hobby your car would be higher up the list for sure.

Actually you're right Rod, I guess price was a bigger factor than I had originally thought. I guess you could call my list best values, not flat out fastest cars.

Guys just wondering what classes are you running, and what days are you racing?

What are the race fees, and membership fees?

Can I run a Mini, what about pan car?

Has anyone had any luck in finding some of those plow disks?

I cant believe I already on the first day of having the Slash I broke it on the first battrie pack too. It was only the front shock tower. The top of it broke right off.

I got another one now but i dont want to put it in until it is time to race.

You should almost be ok with the 2 battries and i have some older ones that i will not really be using too. There might be some tables there but i believe everyone is supposed to bring thier own for now if you have one and if you dont there probably will be someone there that will share too.
