From what i saw at the race there was some big diffrences in power and speed. I like to race but can only afford so much im sure everyone thinks this. So maybe they will think about this to. A race of driving skills not of who has the best electronics.
I don't know you are? doesn't matter..
Most of the any top driver using the same motor and esc you can buy from your LHS...Mainly it does take skill to learn to drive fast and learn to set up the car and choose right tires to be in the Amain....Sound like you got alot to learn to be fast..sorry

If you seen Jesses car last weekend and he was fast and steady laps time ,he running the smashed bodies and won the b main.....Do you think the smashed bodies is going to put you in the A's?

Default 17.5?

Hey Guys,

I've been out of the action for a bit..... what's the hot ticket right now in terms of 17.5 motors? I need to snag something in case I can make it out a bit this winter!

Hey Trent, I just got back myself. Hope you make it out on the 7th.
Interms of motors, there are lots of choices, I can also lend you that T-Bang 27t motor that I was using before, that thing was fast

Stormin..Norm....haa..haa.. Stock touring 17.5 would be one of the class.
Mini mania, 13.5 touring and Formula 1 is going to be a hit. We shall see.
Place is in Richmond. I think I had posted the addy somewhere in the frt page

I like it...if I was given a Ferrari ..you think I could be as good as Schumacher? Not. I Agree with Franco here...it takes practice to be a competitive driver. Practice, practice...don't get intimidated with the equipment one have. Concentrate on your skills and have fun. And if you think you are a good driver and can do better than it's time to invest better equipment. With club racing. The racers can always decide what rules among yourselves for the minis.

Main idea with club racing is to have fun and put in more practice. There's no trophy or a title to win.
For us faster drivers, we train ourselves and see if we can achieve better driving lines.
Have fun....

Good example of this would be Mike Tapp. I heard he brought in an RTR TC3 (all plastic, including shocks, chassis...etc) long time ago, changed tires and placed decent electronics and he was very competetive. I remember he was using a 5A regular charger while we were using 7A-10A and he was still hard to beat, that's skill for you.

Hey Crazy ... Is your Tamiya running Rubber or foam this season???

I don't disagree with the driving skill....Espescialy since i watched Mike Tapp take a Kit Slash this summer and beat the Mod Corr trucks. My whole point is that you shouldnt have to spend a ton of money on electronics for a Mini...and by having a weight limit it should discourage the excess spending. Like I said it's just my opinion....in a club majority rules...I can live with that.
