Stu,
I have a set of Jaco foams you can have. I switched over to CRC/BSE tires when I couldn't get the Jacos to fit my lathe after much effort.....lol.

thanks guys !

Adam, stick a pair of fronts aside for me, and I'll see you Friday night !

I know there were only one pair of rears left in PM today when I was in, so perhaps other guys will be in need too, so Kane you won't be stuck with extras !

Just checking websites for WGT Lilac tires:
Great hobbies shows 1 pair available for F/R
Hobby Alley shows in stock for F/R

if you get to Edmonton early you might be able to pick some up. I would phone ahead and reserve them.

It looks like my replacement receiver from Spektrum won't be here in time for this race. Does someone have a spare they can let me use for the weekend? Either DSM1 or DSM2.

Just a quick question. I was reading through the posts but couldnt find a definative answer on the TC stock weight specs. Could someone please verify this for me? With Lipo my current weight is 1394g and with NiMH my weight is 1459g. This is with the body on.

Thanx
Tim

Adam,
I have 3 or 4 Spektrum receivers in my basement. Let me dig them out and I will bring them Friday. I will bring a micro receiver and a DSM2 (3100 I believe) for you. The radio gods don't like me this year.....Emma's Spektrum radio won't bind, my 4PK glitches in the heat, and the the M11X is flawless haha.

Brilliant, thanks. My SR3100 became deaf in Vegas - it powers up, but won't bind to anything.

I believe I had the opposite issue as the radio won't seem to bind to any of the 4-5 receivers I have tried. Now that you say that it was a receiver issue for you maybe mine is the same. Regardless the receivers are there for you to try and we will hope for the best.

Yeah, it was definitely the receiver. We tried that RX with two transmitters, and that transmitter with another RX.

Sorry to hear that Greg, that's why I spent the extra $5/night just incase.

According to TCS Canada the following rule is for mini:
Pinion gears must follow this chart: MO3 20T pinion, MO4L with 26mm tires 17T pinion, MO4m with 60D tires 19T pinion. MO1/MO2 cars with 60D tires must use 20T pinion and a 16T pinion with 26mm tires. RWD MO2 must use an 18T pinion gear with 60D tires.

Is this rule followed in WCICS and/or teched?
Just wondering if I can change my pinion for my M03M or not. I currently have the 20T installed as per the rule.

Thanks
Jeff

we don't tech for such things. Never have in that class.
So long as we stick to Tamiya gears, then it's all good.

Perhaps worth noting though that I hope no one is squeezing a bigger pinion on than the max stated on the motor mount of each car.

Also on mini, bodies- it does't matter what body you run, so long as it's for an M-chassis car.

Just a comment for discussion, the qualifying times between TC Stock and SS were less than 2 seconds (over 6 minutes), at least looking at the top half of the A-main that ran both classes. Seems that 13.5 and 17.5 are too close, and we should discuss widening the spread.

My thoughts, 17.5 seems pretty quick for the new people, maybe a drop back to 21.5? Superstock could then stay at 13.5, or move to 10.5 if the spread is still too close.

I know for me the torque of 13.5 makes it a little more challenging to drive, so it feels different behind the wheel, but 2 seconds faster (not per lap, total over the 6 min run) is too close. It used to be a 1-2 lap difference on 5 minute races, should be 20% bigger difference with 6min races.

Just my thoughts. Looking forward to Lethbridge.

Josh
