RCGEARS will now be using RCSIGNUP for club racing. All members/non-members will have to do is register at rcsignup at no cost, then you can register each week and then all you have to do is checkin when you show up on Sunday.

RCGEARS Club Series, Race #1

The first race of the RCGEARS points series will be held on Sunday, May 10th At the end of the season, the points will be tallied up and the top 3 in each class will receive awards.

As Larry mentioned, we'll be using rcsignup so racers can pre-register for our club events. This will hopefully save some time during the morning check in on race day.

The race fees are as follows:

Club members: $10
Juniors (under 16yrs): $5
Non-members: $18
*max of 2 classes for all participants.

For those of who are interested in additional track time prior to the RCPS race, this is your opportunity!

Here is the tentative schedule:

Gate opened by 8:00 am
Registration from 8:15-9:15am
Drivers meeting at 9:40am
First race starts at 10:00am

3 rounds of qualifying, 6 minute heats.
20 minute A-Mains
15 minute B-Mains
10 minute C-Mains and lower

Updates:

Wanted to let all members know, there will be no racing this weekend at RCGEARS track because of a rcpro race in Red Deer. Unfortunately all of our execs will be at the race so the track will not be open for practice either.

We are in the process of updating our website asap, if there are any "tech savy" members that would like to help with this process that would be greatly appreciated.

Since the lack of turnout at work days this season, we will be trying something different. Work Schedule: Tues 7:30-8 Thurs 7:30-8 Sunday 12:30-1. With members telling me they are unable to commit to more time for the club then they allready are. This way both parties are happy, the club gets work done on track and the track users dont need to commit more than the 3 days a week. This includes all track users, members, non-members and execs. Any major track work would not fall under this, like track changes and water removal which take longer to do.
