Default GP Downtown Association On-Road Race

Hey Everyone

The Downtown Association of Grande Prairie has asked RCAAGP to hold a promotional on-road race. There will be a lot of prizes, it sounds like it will be a good race. More info will be available at the Camp Tamarack on-road track Tuesday nights and also on this thread. Oh, and by the way, the race is on Saturday June 13th. More details TBA. Check out the Grande Prairie Downtown Association website.

That's great news, I can't wait. It's really gonna be a good thing for the club. I got a contact in beaverlodge who says he wants to get involved in the club, he just has to get a car and then he is gonna let me know what's going on.

Hey Guys

I just about have the website done. Just waiting for the re-direct. In 24 hours, www.rcaagp.ca should work. Until then use:

The site looks really good. Is there gonna be a forum attached to it?

Thanks Steve. Because of the program I am using for the website (iweb), I can not add a forum.

Open class, eh? Looks like I'll either have to snake a Mamba 5700 from my Clod, or do some maintenance on one of my brushed motors

Do we know if we're gonna be running on pavement or not, yet?

From the sounds of things it's likely gonna be pavement.

Time for a set of nitro car tires!

I hope they give time to sweep the track and get rid of the pebbles!

Ya we need to talk to them about cleaning the road the day before the race maybe and then give a once over on the day of the races. I think Rosalie had that all figured out but I'm not totally sure, we talked a bit about it lastnight.

That's a good idea... Just as long as they don't water the road right before the race

It'll be nice to run my car with a beefy motor under the hood

Do we have any clue as to the size of the track? lol

I'm not sure as to the size of the track but from what I understand they are gonna block off a whole section of road for it.
