Here's another of the side of the drivers stand in the area which will be part of the pits. The On-Road Track is to be on the right.

We had a work party today...errected the stairs and the new platform which wil provide a path to both the track and the pits aswell as the drivers stand ofcourse. Not quite finished but the heavy part of the lifting the stairs is done. Hottest day of the year so far...and we had a work party? Oh well....it's got to get done. No pavement last week....I'll have to get after the City for this week.

Well good news today......Today was the day that Dawson Construction laid down some ashphalt for our new On-Road Track! Man o Man is it nice! Sorry...not trying to brag but we have been looking forward to this for a long time now and it is great to see that it has finally arrived. They did a really nice job. I was out there this evening and took a few snaps so when I get the film developed, I will post a few. Hopefully we can be racing in a few weeks or so, just have to build the deck for the drivers stand, lay some paint down and some other odds and ends and it should be ready to go. Totally looking forward to this time soon. I will keep you all posted.

Hey Guys...Well the extension on the drivers stand deck is nearly complete. Just finishing off the railings and a few cross braces. And as promised, here is a snap of our new On-Road Pavement track that was laid down late last week. The drivers stand is not yet extended in this particular picture.

Lots of work ahead of us.... COME ON KAMLOOPS... step up and pitch in. I know I am going to be spending hours of enjoyment racing... I will be working on weeding, sweeping, painting... etc.

Please tell us that you will plan a race for this summer.. we down here cant wait to run on that track..

when can we expect a race? late August -early september would be perfect as I beleive the shedule is clear..

Hey Korgae......Good to hear from you! Just working on a track plan and organizing when we can paint it in. Also will be painting the drivers stand soon and will eventually be setting up our new Race Control shack. It looks like a big race won't be until sometime in August, like you said but we will defenitly keep you all posted.

re a big race in Kamloops this Summer, it will probably have to be early September. We have our "River Family Festival" race the last Sunday in July, at Riverside Park (parking lot race, just one day this year as we had zero out of town racers last year), and then we will need two or three club races to let everyone get things sorted out.

Reckon on the "Fall Classic", the 2nd or 3rd weekend in September. We will get an entry form out as soon as we firm up the date.

Hmmm... I thought the Edmontom Tri-cities race was in August...
I had heard of a race in Calgary July 12-14, and one in Edmonton sometime in August... (I just assumed these were the tri-cities races) Any truth to this???
