BRUSHED all the WAY!
"racing since the 80's an XRAY was something you needed when you broke a bone."
yes, there is practice friday night . 6-10 pm. it may start earlier if track is set up. Had a great time racing with the Abby people on Sat. Hope to see some of u this weekend in Kamloops. TTYL Doug Martin
My mistake here....Brent has posted on the RC Pit Stop forum that it is a condition of the use of the school that only citrus based tire compounds will be allowed. If the school is full of tire compound fumes come Monday morning we'll lose this as a site to hold major races.
Bear in mind that we lost the option of holding major races at our regular location two years ago because of the smell (and the cigarette butts left all over their Kids playground).
If we lose this site, it may well be the last major indoor race to be held in Kamloops. So please abide by the request.
Most of us use TQ8+ for racing in Kamloops. This has not caused a problem at our regular site. We've also seen a lot of Pro-Stik used (less effective than TQ8, though). There is also a good odourless compound by GM Racing, which has been used effectively. We banned Paragon and the CRC compound within the club two years ago after the problems following the Carpet Regionals two years ago.

Great run ya gave me on Sat. I thought I would never catch ya once you and Mike passed me.My front fender pushed negative into the front left wheel of my TC3 and was rubbing so bad it slowed me up a ton, after you two passed me I smacked a wall to try to pop it back out with success after that I would consider myself lucky to have caught you.Hope to see you here again.
Well, despite all the flak about 1/12th scale, we had a good entry for the race. Four drivers from Alberta, and a swarm of drivers from the Lower Mainland - who dominated Touring and Novice.
Past Master Korgae Scales took TQ and 1st in the A in Touring Mod, despite a challenge from Kamloops' R.J. Carroll, who took second. Dustin Morse looked like giving R.J. a run for second, but had to settle for third after some trouble in traffic.
Frank Bortolazzo was awesome in Touring Stock - his times would have been great in Mod, too ! TQ and 1st in the main, followed by Dustin and Tyler Levy. Touring stock went all the way down to a D Main.
Two Vancouver drivers, Sebastan Pop and Tristan Calaquian, dominated the Novice class. They ran within a few tenths of a second of each other all weekend. Sebastian was TQ, but Tristan took the A main. There were thirteen Novices racing.
Pro-10 saw R.J. Carroll TQ and win the A, while second was won by Kelowna's Rob Schneider after a race long battle with R.J.'s brother Ken (who took third). Fourteen cars in this class.
Thanks to all who came to race. I hope you all had fun.
And thanks to Brent Wende (Team Green), for all his hard work in getting it all organized !
Hey Guys.....It seems we have misplaced a "Blue #2" Transponder after the last main in Kamloops this last weekend. The last couple of people to run with this transponder were Doug Martin, Martin Mikoula and Nick Felch. Could everyone please check their cars and boxes for this missing transponder as we would like to get it back ASAP. brentwende@yahoo.com
Thanks, Brent

Sun City is putting together there off-road schedule. So if any one has any big race date's that they are putting on trophy races let me know and we will try not to conflicked with you e-mail me at daoustman@shaw.ca
Pitbull, Kamloops won't have a schedule put together for quite a while, as we don't know when we'll have our outdoor tracks up and running. However, we do have a definite date for the Kamloops River Family Festival, July 27th/28th, and the organizers have already requested our participation. So if you could please let us have that one ? And we do expect to hold the Fall Classic in early September.
Kamloops club race yesterday had a great turnout despite the counter-attraction of Olympic Hockey (even if Team Green did have a TV on his pit table - he SAID he was working on his cars). Everyone was tuning up for the start of the Kamloops/Kelowna Club Cup which takes place over the next two weekends....Seven cars in Touring Stock, four in Touring Mod, three in Novice and eleven in Pro-10 (pan Car).
We tried for a failrly technical track - but it was screamingly fast. But technical, too. Lap times were no faster than before. Fun, but hitting the boards at hi-speed can be damaging...
