Thumbs up

Good to hear Blain. Yes we should be able to get going by 11 or just after. Be nice to get home early.
How was the last club race for setup and tear down?

I'll be there for 9, so those that can be there for setup of the track at 9 see ya then.

Doug

It was nice to have you there Blain, and Doug it was more like 10:30 when you showed up

Default We well!

i'd be worried if I were you Doug. My car was as quick as RJ's in a straight line, so all I need to do is drive it to the finish. Right now it seems that the driving part has faded and the car needs some minor work. The front end stopped providing pwer in the last few laps after a solid impact with the inside of the sweeper. It was really wierd.

I should everything sorted out for the mid Winter. The TC will have everything straight and true, and the pancar will be sporting a new Porsche body. I shouldn't have any more problems with rolling over.

See you all there

PS

When are we getting in to setup on Friday? 3pm ? Sooner? Later?

Default hey all

I had a great time racing again and I really got the bug back in me....(too bad for Sam ) evnethough I did not do that well and I had to leave early I could see myself improving a little each race...

I can see a big problem arising though as I figured I had too decent batteries but my one pack does not see to want to charge so that leaves me with one 1700 pack...(oh ya huge thank you to Ren for the use of his car, Doug for the use of his one set of Batts, and Melnyk for the use of his charger) I not sure how well one pack of batts is going to work for me at the challenge so if anybody has an exrta saddle pack that they may not use or I could borrow for one heat or something I would be truly thankfull as I not sure if I can get a pack b4 the winter challenge....Hey Greg A. or carver do you guys have any batts that you need cycled oh and maybe a charger ???? as I not totaly positive Melnyks charger works all that well ........

anyway off to clean the car so A big thank you again to all who helped me

Giuseppe....glad you well....me well too....

I'll be able to help with set-up on the Friday for the Mid-Winter - but not at 3:00pm. Maybe 6:30 to 7:00pm, or something like that - after work. I vote for running the same track we ran yesterday - personally, I liked it. (And it's one we had never run before !)

It seems there are quite a few of us who will only be racing on the Sunday - are we still committed to triple A mains ? I won't ask this on the "MidWinter" thread, so as not to rock the boat, but it must be said that even the new lower entry fee is a lot if all we can look forward to in Pan car is one qualifier and then the main. (Plus the interminable wait while the "triple A" TC races run).

IF we get virtually no entries from out of town, can we consider going for three of four qualifiers and single mains ? (Looking for some discussion here.....I know we're committed to triple A's if we get a bunch of racers from out of town, but if it's just a big club race ?)

Ren.

Blain, I can find you a couple of decent batteries, and maybe even a charger. Give me a shout sometime.

Ren,

What about if we run 2 qualifiers on Sunday and then back to Single A Mains just for Pro-10 Class? Would that make you happy?

I'm just looking for ideas. I like the idea of triple A mains for major championships, because they take away the "lottery" effect of the TQ driver being taken out in a first corner accident, but I feel it gives a distorted amount of track time to different drivers at "fun" events.

Don't get me wrong - we have committed to run Triple A mains if we get a number of out of town drivers, and I am NOT trying to change that. It's just a question of what format we should use if the event turns out to be just a big club race.

Default mains

I'm all for running singles if not that many show up from out of town. It gives everyone more chances to get in that A-main time.

Besides, if we run Triples or 3 and then the mains on Sunday it will be that same number of races. I know, it's not really the same but..

Blain,

Ren will have something for you to use from me.

Yes I have to agree that if we don't get the out of towners( hey i'm from out of town ) we should just do the single a-mains for all classes and and a few more rounds on Sunday. JMO.

Guiseppe. Bring it on boy . But remember u have to be consistant. AND YOUR NOT . Just joking. Yes your TC looks fast but can u get a clean run in. We'll just have to wait and see

It might be an idea to make the pancar main triple A. if we don't get many outta towners just because sometimes people don't get the best start in pan car and with having the triple A's it might make it more fair after all this is a double points race.
