Thumbs up AGM

Well , we had our AGM on Sunday and I think it went very well. We had 14 guys show up which was more than previous years, Impressive! It was a good time and I think a lot of stuff came to light at the meeting including the track's financial situation, a lot of the expenses from 2008, and some great ideas for 09. Can't wait for the 09 season, and another meeting with a great group of guys.

Stuff covered at the meeting:

Riverside Raceway
These are the topics we addressed looking for the best ideas on how to go about them.

-Working with the city for multi year deals
-Working on the non-profit status of the club
-Voting in the new board for 2009
-Membership Fee’s, Race fee’s, ect
-Track sponsorship, what is fair and what do they get
-General costs associated with the tracks season.ie: bathrooms
-Goals for this year
-Member’s actions at the track, towards each other and the facility
-Timing stand, pitlane repairs/redo
-Watering system upgrade
-Trying to find a small waterproof container for lock-up ie 10x10
-Track funding and how best to achieve it.
-Timing system and its status.

Default rebuild pics

Here are some pics of the track leveling going on before winter really hit us. You can see the new clay under the arm of the digger in pic #1.

Yes I am very anxious to start working on the track as well. Not sure much can be done surface wise cause it's frozen right now, but mayby take down the old boards or something. Give me a call today Mike. I can meet you down there.

Mike went down there yesterday and of course the ground is still frozen. The digger was gone and he didn't even finish levelling the surface, something that's allready paid for...... Anyways, all we could do down there is pull the boards or something today. Wiggit hasn't posted any info in weeks so I don't know what's going on.

Edit: I will be down there this afternoon.
