Phew..... another great day of racing. Mini class is still running strong. C main for Minis!!.. Stock and 19T class shows some close racing.
We managed to get 3 qualifiers instead of 2 this time. Schedule is still a little tight considered we started around 12.30 pm and finished the mains @ qtr to 6.
Hopefully, next time we get to start earlier and get some lunch breaks in.

Like to thank those of you who came out a little bit earlier to set up the track.
See, a little help goes a long way and we got things done, other than the computer issues we ran into but were solved towards the end of the day.

Next race is next week Feb 7th. yup! back to back. Hope to see you all again.
Results will be posted soon.

good day of racing guys!!! had fun in 1/12 scale, always like to run that once a year. 19t/13.5 was a blast, tones of traffic so that always makes it exciting. Also got the track set up by 10:30 but i think we can get it done by 10 if we had just a few more people to help it along, and if i may add something, if people arent ready to go when its there turn, start without them. trust me, they will be ready the next round. just a thought LoL.

My thinking is that Tamiya F1 would be an excellent 2nd class.

First off there is a built in group of racers that with SIR closing have no place left to run their F1 cars and should 4-seasons support the class the track would have a good chance of picking up some of those guys. There are also 3-4 of us that plan to race 4-seasons regularly that already have the car thus ensuring the class happens every race date even if none of the SIR racers show.

2nd The F1 cars offer a significantly lower cost entry into on-road compared to other on-road classes. At $150 for the kit including the racing tires, body & motor it is by far the most affordable car on the market.

With both a low start up cost and and an existing group of racers looking for a place to run their F1 cars I see a great growth potential for the class.

I am curious to see what others think of the idea? Nothing has been decided so if you are in favor of some other alternate class suggest.

Mark

Yes, we are meeting on Feb. 21st at 6:00 to pick a class or two and plan this year's on road season. I think that a sedan class is a good place to start and there are lots of fun options for a second class. Everyone is welcome to come to the on road meeting and help us decide. I'm going into the meeting with an open mind, and I'm curious to see what we come out with, maybe F1, it looks like a blast.

Meeting details can be found here: Open Invitation: Four Seasons On Road Meeting

Sniff Sniff, yep that's some on road around the corner.
