**IMPORTANT** RCGEARS PUPLIC MEETING - SEPT 15/2008 - 7PM

THIS IS A NOTIFICATION THAT RCGEARS WILL BE HOLDING AN OPEN TO THE PUBLIC "TOWN HALL" STYLE MEETING ON SEPT 15TH, 2008 @ 7:00pm.

The RCGEARS Crew Chiefs have decided to hold this event to personally present some important and exciting information in regards to the RCGEARS Race Club. This information could not be held off until the annual AGM in November. We felt that our membership will have many questions and it is much faster and much more productive to do all of it in person.

So here are the details:

***Very Important*** The Cardel Theater is a great place to hold events and is free for the club to use, but there is a catch: EVERY PERSON ATTENDING THIS EVENT MUST BRING 1 NON PERISHABLE FOOD ITEM FOR THE FOOD BANK.(example: can of soup, beans, ect ect) There also is NO smoking anywhere on Cardel's property. Please do not forget that we will be hosting this meeting, this coming Monday @ 7pm at the Cardel Theater.

Please do not forget to bring a non-perishable food donation for the food bank if you plan to attend this meeting.

As I am sure most of you are aware the topics of this meeting. But an ever so astute member of Calagryrc.com felt we should make it public knowledge now, and by rights, now is a good time to do so.

The Calgary Sports Car Club is going to be selling their land to the city for an overpass project for Metis Trail.

This obviously affects the operations of RCGEARS within the CSCC's property.

The purpose of our meeting was to bring this to light with our members earlier than our annual AGM. We will be discussing what the future has in store for RCGEARS and we wish all of you to start wrapping your heads around this conundrum, as we all will need the support of all of our Racers, members or non-members in facilitating this transition for your local race club.

Please, again, lets hold our questions, concerns and comments for the live meeting at the Cardel Theater this coming Monday, as it will be much more of an efficient process this way.
