Brand new AMBrc3 system & RC Scoring Pro will be used to time the event.

On side note - SORRCC would like to take a moment to publicly thank Navaz Walji from Team Jammin Canada. I'm not sure if many of you were in attendance at the 2008 Winter Nationals when Navaz won a Losi 8ight buggy. He put the buggy back in the draw and SORRCC won that machine (all the happy guys in black and red hoodies). We traded for a Jammin X1X buggy and brought it home.

We then worked our butts off and raffled the machine to purchase our new AMBrc3 system & software.

The members of SORRCC are very grateful and would like to thank Navaz for his generosity in helping our entire club go racing!!!

Saskatoon is abuzz with all kinds of classic cars and racing over so come down and be part of the festivities!

Hopefully we'll be racing together August 22, 23 & 24th!

-Kevin

Talking

Just want to mention something else about Navaz.
At Round 2 of CORCS in Grande Prairie, Navaz won the raffle for our Xray 808.
At the time he said he was going to do the same kind of thing with it as he did with the Losi. Whether he did or didn't I don't know, or really care. I just appreciate that the guy is willing to do what he can to promote this hobby. Hats off to you Navaz. Lord knows I'd be keeping the cars for myself.

I had a great time, even though I had problems with my motor flaming.

Sure wish they would have started earlier on Sunday so I could have been home before 11pm.

Dude,

Try arriving home the next morning at 7:00am! Then heading off to work! That was tough, but man oh man, I had a real real great time and took some hardware home to boot!

See yawl Tooners at Winter Nats and again next summer!

Regards,
Lawrence "Budz" McCorrister

No, I had an extra 20 minutes to get home for the drive, and I went to pick up the wife in S'toon, and we stopped to eat...with a 4 year old (slow eater).

But, yes, it was an excellent time. I heard bad thing about the track on Saturday when I arrived for the 3rd round of qualifying. But by then the track was in quite good shape. Enjoyed the looonnnnggg track.

Default Thanks for making the trip!

A big thanks to all who made the trip out to Saskatoon.

We had a blast hosting this event and the feedback has been great!

Apparently grooming the entire track the week before the race is a bad thing - oops! We started Friday practice with a loose, loamy surface but the club members worked their butts off to groom, sweep and reshape the track for the quallies.

We set new lap records on the track on Saturday! Wow!

Thanks to all the volunteers and traveling racers for making this weekend a success.

Was there an audience watching the RC races? If I'm not mistaken, there was another full-scale racing event happening at the Auto Clearing facility on the same weekend. Racing in front of a crowd is always a great time
