Just got back to the hotel room at 930. Been at the race venue since 830 this morning. Now that's a long day of racing. Three rounds of 21 heats!! Excellent race directing - three minutes between the heats -NO delays. Track layout - four rolls of carpet wide, I believe 100ft straight, nice flowing layout, what we would describe as MO4 friendly.
I've been pitting with Jonesy, Mike (the hyper one) and Gordon (races at CarCar). Mike's cars World GT, 12th and Mini have been ridiculously fast but so far Mike hasn't managed to put in a perfect run, but I think its coming. Gordon has been having problems with breakages, hopefully he can put together a good last chance qualifier. The star of the show at our pit table for me has been Ian the Sandbagger Jonesy. With one qualifying round to go he is A Main in both 12th and Mini!! Well done Ian. Of course we have to mention Team Chinatown. I think Rick's running four classes and I can't think of a class that Ivan isn't running! Of course they're going really well, always A Main contenders. As for me, I've been running 12th and Mini. The purple polka dot car went really well in the third qualifier, so far third qualifier. The 12th, first time racing with lipo, brushless and John's shock (thanks again John). The car has been okay, not quite dialed in handling wise and reasonably competitive with the other lipo cars. Hoping for a good last chance qualifier, one more shot at making the A Main.
Of the top ten qualifiers so far in Mini, 5 of them are Karz regulars. Great stuff!
Di's here with her camera - will try and get some video tomorrow.
Enjoy racing tomorrow night.
Yup, racing is today at KARZ! Set up at 5, race at 6. Whoooooo!
ZiG, Jeremy should still have the outer section of the differential. The inner gears I'm not sure about, but if he doesn't have them, he can either order them or you can find them online easily enough. I think the internals are the same as the M-05 gears diff with the rectangular output shafts. If you only need the spider gears for the inside, then I'm sure someone will have a spare set. They're a very common Tamiya part.

IS YOUR MAIN SPUR GEAR STRIPPED? I MIGHT HAVE A FEW OF THE OTHER PARTS, BUT NO SPUR GEAR, CHECK WITH JEREMY, HE MIGHT HAVE A COUPLE PACKAGES LEFT
BRAD
Well here's the deal, before I started racing I used JB weld to lock one of my diffs for drifting.. so I basically need the whole unit, minus the outdrives I guess.
I went to PM and asked about it, and the only way I could piece together a full diff would be to buy two different bags, one of which they don't even have in stock.
