Yeah man. Looking forward to it for sure. DTP '04 was the first race I ever went to back in the day! I came in second to last place in stock in my TL-01.

Hopefully I won't repeat that performance this year. Haven't been driving that much since the babies came.

I am not sure if Phil is going to make it over - we were talking the other day about the race, but I don't think he was planning the ferry ride. I will check with him again.

Hey Will,

We just finished the Calgary DTP yesterday, went great! We had our first RC drift demo, but looking at your post you guys are way ahead on the drift scene. I'm the Presient of the Calgary club, CarCar, and I'm trying to get some sideways action started out here.

We had a spectator come out of the crowd with an R32 bodied, front motor mounted drift machine and threw down some nice sideways action against our clubs 2 top guys. It was hilarious, his first words were "My God, I'm not alone!"

This was our first drift demo, we haven't started doing it at the club yet but I'm hoping this will kickstart it in Calgary. I'd love to talk to you and get some of your experience in setting up drifting at our club. I've been a grip racer up until now, started in full scale Superbikes, then karts, then cars, and got into RC a few years ago.

The guys from DSport (full scale) were at DTP, tried the demo we had set up for the public to try (which worked great) and asked us to do an RC drift demo for the Calgary leg of their provincial drift series in Aug at Race City Speedway.

Please PM me a phone number and time I can call you at, or call me at 403.863.9003. You can talk to Korgae at CanWest, he'll vouch for me. Thanks in advance for the help.

guys..the days are counting down. This year should be another good year to attend. Every year it gets better...

There should be a bunch of the drifters from last year event and new drifters attending this show. We shall see who will prevail this year as the new drift king. Current drift king will have to defend his title this year.

It'll be the same for Mini class. Who will be the New Mini King?
Too bad our current Mini King had left the country..otherwise he be here to defend the title.

Touring 19t/13.5 brushless will be a class to watch. Fast and the furious will prevail. Will the brush racers win or brushless?

Touring stock/17.5 same as the 19T class. Close racing will be exhibited. We all seen bumper to bumper racing...this will be close for stock racers. Who can push it to the limits?

There will be excellent trophies for the winners in all the classes and be presented up on the big stage with off course the gals too.

Nice prizes from our sponsors will raffled out during the event. So don't miss this event and lets join us to make this an event to remember. See you all at the track.

Early registration can be done here by p.m or by posting.

This way we can get things organized better. cheers

Hey Ken!

I'm not running Mini, but I'll make sure to line up Big Willie in practice for you and see if I can punt him into the bleachers.

Hey Optimax...

Punt me out??? Why don't you get back up here to do that??

Josh, great to hear that the Calgary DTP went really well for you. You should post up some pics from that event. As for the drifting, you should contact Jesse. He will provide more info for ya.

Two more days to go till DTP. Just a reminder to everyone, Friday is practice.

Here is the final DTP poster. The lovely Ms.G will be at our track.

See you all at the Track on Friday!!!

Will

Racers haven't been to the track and registered getting your tickets to come in tomorrow, you will need to call Jess @ 778-861-7223. We will be having the drivers meeting by noon. Doors open to public at 1pm to 11pm. See you all at the track.

Man, the RC racing and drifting this year was AWESOME. Thanks Jessie and OGR for making another great event.

Just sucks that I had two equipment failures during the event leading me to relearn the setup all over again.. but I had a blast.

Nice job on the Body Jason and always a pleasure talking with you Louis.
