There will be tech gear at every event this year so everyone has a chance to make thier vehicles legal. Work has been brutal the past month or so and I haven't had a lot of spare time to complete the rulebook update. Hopefully I can get some more time on my comp this week to get it finished up tho. There won't be any DQ's until the finals, and then only on the sunday. By then everyone will have gone through tech and be legal.

With just over one week to go before the first ever RCPro race in AB, its shaping up to be a good one. I have pre regs from all over the province!!

A couple of questions that have been asked, primarily what class to run. The choice is yours to decide if you want to run expert or intermediate. RCPS has a graduating program, the top ten in intermediate will automatically be moved into expert next year, and the top ten in expert will be moved into the new pro class. And so the classes grow.

Entry fees, these are the same as regular club racing at each track. I'll let the individual tracks post their prices for club racing.

Its looking to be a great start for RCPS here in AB!! See you all next weekend!!

Registration for these events will close at 9:30 am with a drivers meeting at 9:45 and the racing starting at 10 AM sharp.

As to how the individaul days will lay out depends on the total number of entries at each event. The goal is to have racing finished by no later than 5pm so everyone can get home at a decent time. I have no idea on mains lengths just yet either, its all entry dependent.

Is there a scope of main length based on entrants anywhere that we an look at? I haven't looked in the rule book but is it there in writing any where?

No, its something that will have to be determined come race day. Main lengths are always variable depending on conditions. If the race day goes completely smooth and everyone is on track when they are supposed to be, Mains could be longer, or if everyone drags thier feet, they could be shorter. If we have 50 entries, mains can be longer, if we have 200, they will be shorter.

This just in!! RCGEARS will have the track open for practice on Saturday between 3pm and 9pm for practice for the big race on sunday!!! A big thanks goes out to the exec of the club for making the track available to the racers for more practice!!

Also very important, due to the expected amount of entries for this race, REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT 9:30 AM SHARP!! After that you will be a spectator for the day. I will be at the track taking registration starting at 8:30am. Thank you to those who have sent me your entries already, but lots of them are incomplete and I don't have the time to contact each of you to get the rest of it. Be at the track early for registration and practice.
