Default 2008 2nd Annual Chill Out (Kelowna)

R.O.C.K. Racing presents:

2nd Annual Chill Out

Date: March 28, 29, 30, 2008

We are pleased to annouce our trophy race right here in the Sunny Okanagan. Come out and race on the largest carpet track in BC. We have a 96 foot straight and 4 rolls of carpet wide. 4608 sqft of total track with plenty of technical and power sections for all drivers to enjoy. Did I mention this track was BIG?

We will have all common classes for all to enjoy including our Sportsman class for 1st and young drivers. This should be the last carpet race of the season before everyone switches to Off Road. Last year was a great time and we look forward to a strong turn out this year as well.

Specific detail regarding classes and specs to follow. Please save the date and plan to attend what is sure to be an exciting weekend of racing

Default FUN Class

I wanted to make a separate Post for our new class we are very excited about:

R.O.C.K. Racing Presents the FUN Class

The spirit of the fun class is to allow our newest members of the sport a chance to play and have FUN.
FUN Class is for young and new drivers learning how to control their cars without the pressure of being on the clock.

The cost for FUN class is $10 for the weekend.
Heat length will be 7.5 min
Marshalls are volunters

Transponders are optional
All types of RC vechicles are allowed
Cars the may damage or tear the carpet may be restricted

This will allow our young driver a chance to participate in the trophy race and experience all it has to offer.

Default Brushless 19Turn

All right after many many many converstations about running brushless in the 19turn class R.O.C.K. Racing has deciding we will continue to allow ROAR approved brushless systems to run with 19turn brushed systems.

we are very excited to see if they really perform better then a 19t system and just how many brushless systems will be in the a main. There has been examples on both sides of the issue showing the brushless system to be the same and also examples of how the brushless system is faster.

We are not suggesting you rush out and by a new system for this race, however if you have all ready purchased the system and wish to race it, we want to be the race that allows it to happen.

To the best of my knowledge the Novak 10.5 system has been approved at this time. The race is still two months away and if other systems are approved by then we will allow those as well.

I hope this helps clear it up and I apologize if this offends or turns certain racers away. I would just remind everyone this is not a national title, the spirit of the weekend is to have fun and enjoy each others company.

See you at the R.O.C.K.
