Default FastCats 2nd Mini Enduro at the Hobby Show Toronto

A number of you have asked....and
YES, we will be having another MINI bash at the Hobby Show this year!

November 2, 3 and 4th

We will have 6 teams of 4. We will put you into teams based on your availability for a Saturday or a Sunday. All team members should be available for the friday night. (We found that by picking the team members ourselves everyone had an opportunity to win and the teams were not stacked)

Each team will be handed a kit to build, on the Friday night at the show. It will be an M-Chassis Volkswagen Bug. The bodies will be pre-painted. The intent is to highlight a spec class and bring new drivers into our sport, so we would like the cars to look cool racing aroung the track. Hopefully Nick from the bawdy shop will sponsor us and get creative!

There will be practice on Friday night as well as Saturday and Sunday morning. At noon on Saturday the actual racing will commence. Two drivers of the four person team will race on Saturday and the remaining two will race on the Sunday. This way no one will have to give up the entire weekend (just a single day).

There will be 4 rounds of racing on each day. Each round of racing will consist of 6 five minute races, separated by a two minute interval. So in total, on Saturday there will be 24 races, followed by 24 more races on Sunday. Points based on finishing places will be awarded for each race. (last year after 48 races the winning team only won by 6 points!!)

first- 6 points
second - 5 points
third - 4 points
fourth- 3 points
fifth- 2 points
sixth- 1 point

Each member of the Saturday (2 person) team will drive for 3 and only 3 of the races in a round. Remember, each round consists of 6 races. (in total 12 -5 minutes races each) The same is true for the Sunday team. The team members can decide who races and when. This will allow you to pit drivers against others from another team.

While one member of the team drives the other marshalls. Both team members must remain for the extent of the round. The computer will automatically begin each race so if you don't make it then your team will start late.

Each race will be run as a main (tone start). Team 1 will start first in race 1. For race two, team 2 will start first and so on. Therefore each team will start at the pole position during a round.

We are supplying the radios, Spectrum so that there will be no frrequency issues in the hobby show building. We will also be providing the batteries and charging. Two batteries will be used for a round of racing. Each team will receive their batteries from us before the round already charged. The motors will be handed out before the start of each round and handed back after each round is over (no tampering with the motor other than lubrication or you could be helping your competitors).

What do you get for your $35 entry fee?

Other than FUN?

You get to work in a team and build the winning mini!
