Hi, Guys.

I've been fielding requests from IROCC members regarding classes and particulars for the Smackdown race. Anything to post? We're planning to catch the 7AM ferry over on Saturday morning assuming qualifiers would start around noon. Is this accurate?

On a different thread, it was mentioned that at a club race if there were 5 or more cars you'd run a class. Does this apply to the Smackdown as well? At least 4 of the guys coming from Victoria (so far) have Pro10 cars running 19T locked endbell, and we may have a 5th or 6th guy coming with us. The question is: will you permit this class?

I also noticed on the Overgeared July 22nd race day thread that you're deviating from the standard 5 min heats and running 6 min heats for most electric classes. WIll this be the case for the Smackdown? Some of the boys are suffering from the poor batch of IB4200s and are dropping runtime weekly. Please advise.

If there are enough drivers (min 5 drivers) we will have this class. Please let us know ASAP. If there is a Pro 10 class, we will need time to have the trophies made.

SmackDown Race Class Times are as follows........

All Electric Classes: IFMAR Starts

5min Qualies
5min MAINS, single mains , with 2 bumping up per main.

NITRO Classes: IFMAR Starts

5 min qualies
C Main and lower 5mins w/ 2 bumping
B main 15mins w/ 2 bumping
A main 30 mins (1st and 2nd have to clean the track up......JK...LOL)

The locastion for SmackDown is on 12071 Jacobson Way, Richmond

Main intersection is Steveston Hwy, and No.5 Rd.

There is a OGR club race this weekend (July 29th) same location as Smackdown. Great time to set up.

BTW, all guys coming from Victoria are not only racing Pro10. Most will also be racing Stock and 19T and three nitro drivers. The numbers are going up daily, so by the time the race hits, who knows? You could have a crowd. We're really looking forwarad to the race.
